Josef Chochol

< p > Josef Chochol (13 December 1880 in Písek - 6 July 1956) was a Czech architect, urbanist, designer, furniture designer and architecture theorist. He was one of the most important Czech theorists of architecture and a prominent representative of architectural cubism and functionalism. In addition to Jan Kotěra, Pavel Janák, Josef Gočár and Vlastislav Hofman, he is considered to be one of the leading figures of Czech architecture. < / p > < p > First of all at the beginning of his career he created valuable structures, which are considered a unique part of Czech history and of world modern architecture. These include the Kovařovicova villa, which is considered an icon of cubist architecture and a leading cultural monument to Prague. It is also a cubist troop under Vysehrad and a residential house on Neklan Street. < / p >
