Dům čp. 105 se studnou House
Dům čp. 105 se studnou is a grafted building from the end of the 18th century in Jaroněkova street in the village Štramberk in the district of Nový Jicin. The building is a part of the town conservation and since 1995 it has been declared a cultural monument of the Czech Republic.
The building was built at the end of the 18th century near the castle bastion, which consists of house No. 103. In the first half of the 19th century and then at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries it was rebuilt and expanded.
Architecturally, it is a ground-floor two-wing structure in the ground plan L, which is directly attached to the city walls. The house stands on a tall stone suspect balancing slope terrain. In this part are located cellar spaces with own entrance from the street. The oldest part of the house was built perpendicular to the wall, while the second wing was added later. This arrangement created a courtyard framed by the wings of the house and wall, which follows the entrance to the house No. 104.
The ground floor is grafted from plastered balls. The roof is covered with shingles; the older part takes the form of a valbic and newer saddle. The south-east facade is two axes and decorated with a vertically boarded shield with a fracture. In the vicinity of houses no. 105 and no. 106 there is a reconstructed grafted well with a shingles roof, which in the past provided water supply.
In 2005 the house was renovated by the owners at the time, married to Šmír.
The monument represents an authentic example of grafted construction in the context of urban fortification. Its visit allows you to look into the historical urbanization of Štramberk and observe the specific details of local architecture.
