The Church of St. Isidor grew up gradually from the beginning of the 18th century. The small brick chapel with bell tower was built between 1711 and 1714 in a high place in the lower part of the village and originally served as a philial church under the deanery of Kolstejn. In 1722 the chapel was officially consecrated to the honor of Saint Isidor of Madrid, the patron saint of farmers and good crops. Her first recognition mark was the 1731 bell of St. Emmanuel, which was written by Olomouc master Olaf Oberg.

The growing number of believers soon demanded enlargement. In 1777 the chapel was extended by a wooden annex. A real landmark occurred in 1784 when the chapel was promoted to a parish church and a separate parish of Nové Losin was established. The wooden extension gave way to a new solution - a new main ship was built. The church was transformed into its present form between 1819 and 1821, when the boat was extended and before it built a high tower with a prism base. The roof was repaired in 1873, and in September 1924 new bells were made from local donations as a substitute for bells recited during the First World War. In 1928 the interior was renovated and new windows were installed.

The Second World War and the postwar shift of the local population meant decades of decline to the church. Since the late 1960s, the church was again maintained by continuous painting and repairs. An interesting archaeological find was discovered in 2014 with a letter from local citizens from 1873, supplemented by silver and gold coins.

It is an architectural building with a rectangular boat closed by a semicircular priesthood. On the west side, the prism tower with onion roof, lantern and poppy cross is turned off; a wooden mission cross from 1899 is attached to its north wall. The area is complemented by a monument-protected sculpture of Calvary from the first half of the 19th century. There are two sacristy ships - square ground and another with a valb roof.

The interior is equipped with valuable objects of a popular character. The main and lateral altar together with the pulpit was created in 1832 by the table master Hans Mück. The altar picture of Saint Isidor and the freely hung image of the Birth of Christ are signed by Joseph Rotter. On the west side of the ship there is a wooden music ring. The central space is decorated with a classic crown chandelier from the first quarter of the 19th century, created by curtains and garland lenses made of clear glass.

The church was entered on the list of cultural monuments in 1964. To this day it serves as an architectural and spiritual heart of the village and its gradual transformation from a small mountain chapel to a larger parish temple with classical elements reflects the development of the Nové Losin itself.

The Church of Saint Isidore in Nové Losiny is dedicated to a Madrid farmer, patron of farmers and good harvests. This Baroque building from the beginning of the eighteenth century was later modified, and today it is therefore predominantly Classicist in style. The single-nave church stands on an elevated location and forms a striking landmark in the mountain landscape. Since 1964 it has been a cultural monument.

The beginnings were modest. Between 1711 and 1714, a small brick chapel with a bell tower was built in the lower part of the village. It belonged as a subsidiary church under the deanery of Kolštejn and in 1722 it was consecrated in honor of Saint Isidore. Nine years later, a bell called Saint Emanuel was hung inside it, cast by Olaf Oberg, a master from Olomouc. The chapel soon became too small, so in 1777 a wooden extension was added to it.

In 1784 the chapel became a parish church and the independent parish of Nové Losiny was established. The wooden extension was then replaced by a new brick nave, at that time shorter and without a tower. The church received its final form between 1819 and 1821. The nave was extended and a tall tower was built in front of it.

The original bells were requisitioned during the First World War. Local residents provided replacements from their donations and new bells were consecrated in September 1924. After the Second World War, most of the village population was displaced and the church fell into disrepair. From the end of the sixties it was gradually restored. During the reconstruction of the tower in 2014, a letter was found in the cupola that had been left there by local residents in 1873 when the roof was being repaired. Besides a brief history of the church, it also contained several silver and gold coins.

The rectangular nave is closed by a semicircular sanctuary with a square ground-floor sacristy. A second sacristy with a hipped roof adjoins the place where the nave meets the sanctuary. On the western side stands a prismatic tower with an onion-shaped roof, a lantern and a finial with a cross. On its northern wall hangs a wooden missionary cross from 1899. The area also includes a sculptural group of Calvary from the first half of the nineteenth century, which is monument protected.

The interior furnishings have a folksy character. The main and side altars and the pulpit were made in 1832 by the carpenter master Hans Mück. The altar painting of Saint Isidore and the painting of the Birth of Christ, originally also an altar painting, are signed by Josef Rotter. In the western part of the nave is a wooden music gallery. The nave is lit by a Classicist crown chandelier from the first quarter of the nineteenth century, formed by festoons and garlands of clear glass lenses.

The church tower is also an interesting perspective for photographs of surrounding forests and fields. In the interior it is worth focusing on the altar and other artistic elements.

In the vicinity of St. Isidora's church is worth visiting Kolstejn Chateau, which is located about six kilometers from Nové Losin. Both of these places are ideal for a combination of cultural and natural visits. In the main summer season the visit is most attractive in the morning, when the air is still cold and the church is not burdened by a crowd of tourists. The noon sun, which hits directly on the stained glass, creates colored refraction in the interior, but also can cause unpleasant overheating. It is recommended to dress from light, breathable materials, hat and sunglasses, not only because of heat, but also to protect against sunlight during outdoor inspections. During the summer months the church is often visited by families with children, so it is advisable to count on longer waiting at the entrance. The ideal time for a peaceful tour is late afternoon, when temperatures are falling and the traffic is falling.

Autumn The autumn visit to St. Isidora Church offers a unique atmosphere where the surrounding forests and fields are dressed in golden and red shades that contradict the darker stone walls of the church. When the sun shines through the leaves, the interior of the church turns into warm, copper tones, while there is peace outside, interrupted only by rustling deciduous leaves. In this period it is advisable to visit the church in the morning when the light is the finest and nature still retains summer colors. Clothes should be warm, but not too massive, as autumn weather changes rapidly - it is recommended that layering allows to adapt to cold morning or wind afternoon conditions. In November, during advent time, the church can also be visited by believers, which may affect its availability, but generally it is a period of calm and reflection, ideal for the visit itself.

Winter The winter landscape around the church of St. Isidora offers a view of the snowy forests and frozen meadows that provide a mysterious and peaceful atmosphere to the memory. The snow, which covers the roof of the church and softens its contours, creates snow spots on the stained glass that shine like diamonds in sunlight. In winter months, the church is often visited only by locals and tourists seeking peace, making it an ideal place for meditation or photography. It is practically advisable to visit the church in the afternoon when the light is the most beautiful and the temperature is less extreme. Clothes should be warm, waterproof and suitable for cold, windy days - comfortable shoes are recommended as snow conditions can be slippery. In winter, the church is open in shorter hours, often only in the morning, so it is good to check the opening times in advance, especially during Christmas holidays when access can be restricted.
