The Baroque church dedicated to St. Jacob the Bigger lies on the cadastral territory of Guntramovice, which falls under the town of Budišov nad Budišovka. As a protected cultural monument it also includes a wall surrounding the cemetery and the entrance gate; everything belongs to the Roman Catholic parish of Budišov nad Budišovka in the Diocese of Ostrava.

The creation of the building is closely related to the previous church. In the place where it stands today, the roofs of wood dating back to the 16th century, which is attributed to about 1537. In 1736 it was replaced by a new brick construction - a more substantial and durable construction in a Baroque style. However, the church soon experienced serious trials. On 28 June 1758 there was a battle between Austrian and Prussian forces at Guntramovic, битва at Domasov. During the fighting, the entire village was burned down; The church also did not escape - it was broken down and burned by burning. Four of his bells melted in the flames. Restoration came soon afterwards: in 1759 the building was repaired and reconsecrated. For the church there were new bells - three from Wolfgang Strauber and one from Melichar Schwan from Olomouc. The following repairs took place in 1795 and then in a longer period of 1814 to 1818. The last extensive maintenance took place in the 1980s.

The church is designed as a single-boat building with a half-circle priestry. A three-story prism tower with a helmet comes out of the west facade. Roofs cover shale, which covered the church traditionally. The facade is smooth with semi-rounded sealed windows. There is a four-sided sacristy on the north side of the priesthood, there is a hall with a side entrance on the south side of the ship.

The inside of the church bears elements of Baroque decoration. The ship and the sacristy are encircled by the valleys with the sections, as well as the crust and the undercrop. The priestess is sealed with a condom. The interior painting dates back to 1911. Artistic equipment - tools, artifacts, equipment - dates back to the late 18th and early 19th century.

Around the church is a fenced wall made of quarry stone and covered with large shale plates. The wall entrance gate has a rectangular plan with a saddle roof. There is a cemetery between the wall and the temple itself. Both the church and fences are in the collection of cultural monuments of the Czech Republic.

The visit to Guntram reveals the story of a small church that persists not only centuries, but also the war rampage of the Baroque era.

The Church of Saint James the Greater stands in Guntramovice, which today belongs to the city of Budišov nad Budišovkou. It is a Baroque Roman Catholic church from the eighteenth century. It falls under the parish of Budišov nad Budišovkou, the deanery of Opava, and the diocese of Ostrava-Opava. Together with its boundary wall, it is registered among cultural monuments.

The brick church was built here in the year 1736. It replaced an older wooden church from the sixteenth century, which probably dated from 1537. The new building was dedicated to Saint James the Greater.

Just twenty-two years later, disaster struck. On June 28, 1758, Austrian and Prussian forces clashed near Guntramovice in the Battle of Domašov. The entire village was then burned to ashes. Artillery fire destroyed the church, and it subsequently burned down. All four church bells melted in the flames. The church was restored and reconsecrated as early as 1759. Three new bells were cast by the bell founder Volfgang Straub, and the fourth by Melichar Schwan from Olomouc. Further repairs followed in 1795 and in the years 1814 to 1818. Most recently, the church underwent repairs in the eighties of the twentieth century.

The church is an oriented single-aisle structure with plasterwork and a semicircular presbytery. Attached to the presbytery from the north is a four-sided sacristy. On the south side of the aisle is a vestibule with a side entrance. From the western facade rises a three-story prismatic tower crowned with a helm. The aisle and presbytery are covered by a gabled roof, while over the semicircular apse it is hipped. On its eastern part sits a small tower called the sanctus bell tower. All roofs are covered with slate. The facade is smooth and the windows are arched into a semicircle at the top.

The main entrance leads into the church through the space beneath the tower. Both the aisle and the sacristy have barrel vaults with lunettes, and the presbytery is vaulted with a concha, that is, a vault in the shape of a quarter sphere. The gallery and the space beneath it have barrel vaults. The interior painting dates from 1911. The furnishings of the interior are from the end of the eighteenth and beginning of the nineteenth century.

The church is surrounded by a cemetery, and around it runs a boundary wall of rubble stone, topped with large slate slabs. The area is entered through a brick rectangular gate with a gabled roof of slate. In its triangular gable, there is a niche on the outside and a circular opening on the church side. The passage is arched into a semicircle and on the side toward the church has glazed doors.
