Obereignerova Villa in Poděbrady is a remarkable example of secessionist architecture, blending Nordic Renaissance elements with its origins as a transformed baroque barn. Designed by architect Josef Fant and completed in 1898, this villa holds architectural significance and historical value, earning protection as a cultural monument. It includes three dormers and decorative sandstone sculptures that enhance its aesthetic appeal. Inside, semi-circularly arched windows in the ground floor are framed by brickwork. Historically significant, the interior once housed an atelier and workshop for Milada Žáčková-Obereignerová, a prominent Czech painter known as V. Rašík. During the 20th century, particularly under communist rule, parts of the villa were rented out, leading to various modifications.

Throughout its history, Obereignerova Villa has remained in the possession of the Obereigner family. In the 21st century, descendants undertook sensitive reconstructions to preserve and restore its original charm. The rich ornamentation includes sandstone reliefs by local artists Milan Havlíček and Jan Mareš, featuring motifs and inscriptions reflecting familial traditions. These artistic elements echo broader trends of late 19th-century Bohemia, where secessionist architecture sought to break away from traditional styles.
