The chateau Žádlovice is located in the village Žádlovice, approximately 3 km south of Mohelnice. It is a Baroque chateau, which in today's form dates back to about 1760, although its roots date back to the Middle Ages.

The beginnings of the construction are linked to the period after 1565, when it was rebuilt at the site of the original fortress. During the 16th and 17th centuries, the Nelovský estate was in the hands of several noble families - gradually owned by Podstatský from Prusinovic, Drahanovský from Finčín and Pavlovský from Pavlovice. But the Thirty Years' War had a fatal impact: the fortress that belonged to Jan Felix of Prusinovic at that time was destroyed and in 1643 it was already mentioned as a desolate ruin.

The village was restored only in the late 17th century. Since 1679 he became owner of Albrecht Bukůvka z Bukůvky, who bought the connected farm Žádlovice and Líšnice. Bukouvka was a pioneering builder - from 1679 to 1705 he built a new Baroque chateau on the site of the older fortress, which became a dominant building in the landscape.

The Count Jan Křtitel Mitrovský, who bought the farm in 1764, also has a significant share of the appearance of the building. Eight years later, in 1772, the chateau was rebuilt in late Baroque style. This reconstruction has determined its form until now. Mitrovský nedbał only for architecture - at the chateau he founded a large botanical garden and the collections of the chateau library enriched parts dedicated to natural sciences. Around 1800, the garden was gradually transformed into a landscape park which combines botanical elements with nature's nearby design. This park is one of the most valuable natural landscapes in northern Moravia.

At the end of the 19th century he transferred the property into the hands of Viktor Dubský from Třebolejc, who bought it out in 1891. A major turn of events brought about in 1945, when the chateau was confiscated by Adolf Dubyski on the basis of Beneš's decrees and became the property of the state.

In the second half of the 20th century, the chateau served teaching purposes - the Loštice Central Agricultural School was housed here until 2012. Today the chateau is the property of Olomouc Region and its administration is provided by the Technical School Mohelnice. The construction remains used for educational purposes, which allows the preservation and maintenance of the historical building and its precious park.

Žádlovice lies about three kilometers south of Mohelnice. The Baroque castle here grew on the site of an older stronghold and is surrounded by a park, which is among the most valuable in northern Moravia.

The stronghold was built after 1565 by converting one of the houses in the village. From the middle of the sixteenth century, a number of noble families held Žádlovice, including the Podstatský family from Prusinovic, the Drahanovský family from Pěnčína, and the Pavlovský family from Pavlovic. During the Thirty Years' War, the stronghold belonged to Jan Felix Podstatský from Prusinovic. It was destroyed at that time, and in 1643 it is recorded as abandoned.

In 1679, Albrecht Bukůvka from Bukůvka purchased the connected estate of Žádlovice and Líšnice. Between 1679 and 1705, he built a Baroque castle on the site of the former stronghold. The estate was acquired from the Bukůvka family in 1764 by Count Jan Křtitel Mitrovský. In 1772, he had the castle rebuilt in the late Baroque style. In this form, the castle has essentially survived to this day.

Count Mitrovský also established an extensive botanical garden near the castle. He enriched the castle library with a collection of scientific literature. Over the turn of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, the garden gradually transformed into a natural landscape park, botanically and aesthetically very remarkable.

In 1891, Viktor Dubský from Třebomyslic purchased the castle. The Dubský family held it until 1945, when it was confiscated by Adolf Dubský under the Beneš decrees and became state property. Until 2012, the castle housed the Secondary Agricultural School Loštice. Today, the castle belongs to the Olomouc Region and is managed by the Secondary Technical School Mohelnice.
