Alois Jirásek’s historical novel Psohlavci (The Dogheads), serialised from 1884 and published as a book in 1886, tells of the Chods who guarded Bohemia’s border with Bavaria, their leader Jan Sladký Kozina and the lord they defied – Lomikar.
