Arboretum Pardubice is an urban arboretum located between the streets of the Czechoslovak army, Staňkov, Rožkov and Hotý. Located near the Elementary School of Staňkov, the cinema Dukla and the youth home in Gorký Street. The space serves an important function in the urban landscape as a place for exploring and protecting natural diversity.

The Arboretum has an interesting history of origin. It originated at the site of the former War Hospital in Pardubice, which was called "Quarantine." This territory has been gradually transformed into green. In the 1950s, 73 species of timber were introduced here. The process of expanding the collection continued, and over time another 42 species were added. Today, almost 120 species of wood are found in the arboretum, suggesting long-term efforts to preserve natural diversity.

The collection of trees is also remarkable by its species. Among the rarest are the sakhalin, the Chinese metasekvoy, the sticky thorn and the alpine generous. These are plants that are not common in our landscapes, so the arboretum offers visitors the opportunity to get to know them without the need to travel to distant countries.

The Arboretum is one of the registered significant landscape elements, which underlines its ecological value. The arboretum is dedicated to several institutions - the Agency for the Conservation of Nature and Landscape of the Czech Republic, the House of Children and Youth DELTA, the City of Pardubice and the Technical Services of Pardubice. This cooperation ensures the long-term care and sustainable development of this area.

The Arboretum is a suitable place for all who are interested in nature. It is an ideal destination for walking and observing trees, especially for school groups. Location in the centre of Pardubice allows easy access for locals and visitors from the surrounding area.
