Welcome to the heart of Nedvice. Stop for a second, take a deep breath and forget the rush of the outside world. You're standing in front of the house with number 35. It's a place that, at first glance, might look like an ordinary residential house, but if you look more carefully and engage your imagination, you start to perceive traces of centuries. He is a silent witness to the history of this city, which carries inside the stories of the people who lived here, worked, loved and fought for their deepest ideals. Feel the atmosphere of this place, where the everyday nature of the present meets with a deep layer of history.

When did this house actually come into being and what is its origin? The exact records are missing, and the names of specific builders have remained forgotten in the fog of time, but experts agree that its roots probably range back to the sixteenth century. So imagine what an incredibly long stretch of time this object survived. He saw the coming and going of various generations, changes in political power, social upheavals and the slow, rhythmic flow of rural life. At the time of its creation, this house was probably a symbol of stability and homelessness. In the sixteenth century, the world changed, people began to think differently about art, science and architecture, and it was this house that was one of the most important survivors in Nedvice. It is this long and unbroken history that makes it such a valuable piece of our common heritage. It is therefore perfectly natural that since the year two thousand ten the house is protected as a cultural monument. This means that the state has officially acknowledged its irreplaceable value and decided that it must be carefully preserved for future generations to tell us its stories in a hundred years.

Now pay attention to the front of the house. Note its overall appearance, which harmonically fits into the character of the city centre. Although the house has undergone various adjustments over the centuries to serve its inhabitants, it still carries the spirit of its time. Look at the facade. It is here that you will find one of the most important elements of this place, which immediately attracts vision. There's a memorial plaque. This plate is not just a piece of worked stone in a plaster, but a symbolic bridge between us, the people of our time, and the man who once began his life here.

This house is Edward Berka's home. You may have heard of him, or this name is new to you. So who was Eduard Berka? He was a man who, in the darkest times of the twentieth century, specifically during World War II, found the unwavering courage to stand against injustice and darkness. As a resistance, he risked his own life to help free his country and protect the fundamental human values that were brutally repressed at that time. Imagine a young man who grew up in these walls, here he learned the first lessons of life, here he spent his childhood and youth, and later he decided he couldn't just passively look at the act around him. His presence here reminds us that even in small towns, people were born with a huge heart and unyielding will. Now, when you look at the plaque, try to imagine for a moment the inner struggle, the fear, but also the deep conviction that Berka was carrying when he decided to enter the resistance path. It is a strong reminder that personal courage can affect the fate of many people.

Now, let's move on to something that reminds us of an exciting art detective story. The history of this house still surprises us, even though we thought we knew everything about it. Two thousand eight years ago, something truly fascinating happened. During the reconstruction work, when layers of old plaster were carefully removed to regain its original beauty and stability, something unexpected happened. Underneath the surface, hidden from people's eyes for centuries, a Renaissance painting was discovered. Imagine that moment of complete surprise for workers and professionals when they suddenly saw colors and shapes that were forgotten and covered up. This painting contains symbolic motifs that return us to the time of the Renaissance, the time of the bloom of human thought and aesthetics. It's a fascinating idea that the house has been hiding its beauty for so long and revealed it in modern times as if it wanted to remind you that truth and beauty tend to rise to the surface even if they are long hidden. This discovery painting provides a new layer of mystery to the house and reminds us that history is not only in dry data in books, but is drawn directly in plaster, stones and the foundations of the buildings that we walk around every day without knowing what lies deep beneath the surface.

So this house is not just an ordinary building. It's a layered record of time. We have here a layer of the sixteenth century with its Renaissance paintings, a layer of family life and a layer of heroism from the Second World War. All this meets right here at this point in Nedvice Center. It is a place where the personal fate of one resistance leader intersects with the great art of the past and the silent passage of the century.

Now that you know the story of house number 35, I suggest you stay with him for a while. Feel the peace of mind, observe the facade details, and think about how many other secrets may be hidden by the neighbouring walls and streets that you will continue with. Every stone in this town probably has its own story, waiting to be told. I hope that you are interested in this short journey in time and that you are leaving with a sense of gratitude for the fact that such places still exist and are carefully guarded.

Now I invite you to continue to explore the beauty of Nedvice and discover other hidden treasures waiting for you in this picturesque place. Let yourself be guided by your curiosity and enjoy every moment spent in this historic environment. Thank you for your attention, for your interest in our common history and I wish you a very pleasant and inspirational continued journey. Goodbye.
