A few years later, in 1474, there was another fundamental change when the castle was sold to Wilhelm of Pernštejn. The Pernstejns were one of the most important generations of the time and their ownership of Castle Helfštýn meant another period of stability and bloom. They paid attention not only to the defense, but also to building the prestige of their headquarters. When Bruntali from Vrbno came to the scene, the castle reached its highest Renaissance appearance.
