The Church of the Divine Heart of the Lord in Terezín is a filial church of the parish of Chárana. The temple dedicated to the Holy Heart of the Lord occupies an exceptional place in the middle of a local cemetery where it serves believers as a spiritual centre.

The beginning of the construction dates back to the 1930s. The construction started on 28 September 1930 with the ceremonial laying and blessing of the foundation stone. The temple was built in a place where until then the chapel became a bell tower. After approximately two years of construction, the church was ceremonially sanctified on 26 September 1932. The ceremony was led by the then Bishop of Brno Mons. Josef Kupka. In the following decades, the temple was supplemented with technical equipment: electrical installations were installed in 1943 and heating in 1970, which significantly improved conditions for believers especially in winter months.

A characteristic feature is the location of the church in the middle of the cemetery. Before entering the temples there are two crosses of historical and piety values. The first is the mission cross erected on the memory of the holy missions held in 1943. Next to it stands the stone cross dedicated to the memoirs of local victims of the First World War - a reminder that visitors put to heart. Behind the temple is a small chapel decorated with a statue of Our Lady of Pain. There are also two other chapels near the church. One is dedicated to the Virgin Mary of Lourdes and the other to the Holy Heart of the Lord, which corresponds to the main temple.

The church still retains its role as an important spiritual space of the local community. His architectural ensemble with chapels and crosses creates space for prayer and reflection. History from the ordination in 1932 to the gradual completion of technology in the 1970s illustrates the changes of the 20th century in the Czech Republic. For a curious visitor, an interesting example of the sacral architecture of the interwar period - a place where faith, local traditions and memories of generations are united.
