The beginnings of the Orthodox community in Vilémov fall into the late 1920s. Officially, the church community was established in 1930, but the believers met here earlier. The first spiritual administrator became Jaroslav Čech (Deutsch). At first, services were held in a rented classroom at a local school - a solution that was unsustainable in the long term. The management of the church village therefore decided to build its own temple.
The construction started with the laying of the base stone on 20 September 1931. The ceremonial consecration of the foundation was taken on by the Moravian-Silesian protopresbyter Josef Rezek. The project was developed by builder Eduard Brosinger from Senice to Hana. Construction work lasted between 1931- 1932.
