The Church of Saint Peter and Paul in Horní Dubňany is a Roman Catholic church located in Jihomoravský kraj. The earliest documented mention of the church is from 1279 when Olomoucký biskup Bruno ze Schauenburku issued a charter recognizing "heritage and patronage rights" in Dubňany. This period marked the beginning of its recorded history, although the core structure originates from the late 12th century. During this time, Bohemia was under the Přemyslid dynasty, experiencing political and cultural developments that influenced architectural styles across Europe, including Romanesque elements evident in the church's original design.

Over the centuries, the Church of Saint Peter and Paul has seen numerous architectural changes. The nave was extended eastward following a fire in the mid-15th century. In the 16th century, a sacristy was added to the structure. By 1775, during baroque renovations, significant additions were made, including a new presbytery with an accompanying sacristy, anteroom, staircase leading to the loft, and newly installed windows. The sacristy underwent further expansion in the 19th century.

The church's architecture features a single-nave design with an offset presbytery, to which the sacristy is attached on the southern wall. A slender spire rises above the western façade of the nave, while smooth facades are punctuated by large rectangular windows. The original section of the nave has low stone masonry laid in lime mortar and carefully layered into courses. Similar stonework adorns the tower, reinforced with irregular stone blocks at the corners. Entry to the church is through a vestibule topped with a barrel vault. The presbytery boasts a ribbed vault between bays capped by a flattened conch, while the nave features a barrel vault with lunettes. A loft for musical performances occupies the western part of the nave and is covered with a barrel vault; behind it lies a three-tiered gallery supported by pairs of brick pillars.

Inside, the church houses several notable pieces from its baroque renovation period. The main altar, pulpit, and baptismal font are all products of this era, featuring intricate designs. Sculptures of angels flank the central image on the main altar, crafted by Ondřej Schweigl. Paintings on the side altars, including themes such as the Adoration of the Magi and the Holy Trinity, were created by František V. Korompay in 1775. Additionally, free-standing wood carvings of the Madonna from the mid-18th century add to the church's artistic richness. A bell cast in Brno in 1653 hangs within the tower.

In 1657, an inspection revealed that both the parish and the church were in disrepair, with straw covering their roofs. Despite these challenges, the church has been preserved as a cultural monument, reflecting its historical significance and resilience through centuries of change.
