Monuments – Šternberk

Šternberk je historické město na Moravě, známé svou bohatou minulostí a významnou architekturou. Nachází se ve střední části okresu Olomouc a má rozlohu 48,8 km². Město je proslulé původem z osady pod hradem, která v minulosti chránila důležité obchodní cesty. Dnes se Šternberk může pochlubit čtyřmi památkami a žije zde přibližně 13 tisíc lidí. Jeho historie sahá až do středověku, kdy byl založen hrad a v roce 1296 se poprvé zmínka o městě objevila ve formálním dokumentu. V průběhu let prošel Šternberk různými historickými událostmi, od husitských dob přes válečné období až po moderní dobu, kdy se stal centrem textilního průmyslu.
