Viadukt ve Slavíči, also known as the Railway Bridge, is a monument-protected stone arc railway bridge located on the border of the cadastral territories of the Lake and Slavic in the village Hranice. This historic building crosses the valley with a nameless stream and a field road, located in Moravia in Olomouc Region. Viaduct is an important technical monument to the beginnings of railway transport in the Czech Republic, it represents a double-track stone bridge with three vaults consisting of two very similar structures. Each of them is carried by individual rails and is part of the II rail speed corridor.

The history of the viaduct dates back to the mid-19th century, when the massive development of railways took place in Europe, which fundamentally changed transport and the economy of that time. The first part of the bridge was built most likely in 1844 and started in 1847 in the construction of the northern runway of Emperor Ferdinand. The second, north bridge was built and operational in 1873 during the expansion of the railway line. This historical construction is therefore an important part of the infrastructure that has contributed to the development of the region.

Architecturally, it is a two-track stone bridge with three semicircular arches placed on two medium stone pillars. Pillars are secured in extreme slopes, which strengthens the stability of the whole structure. The face of the older bridge is made of treated limestone blocks, while the younger part uses sandstone blocks. At present, the bridge crown has been expanded using a reinforced concrete plate and concrete rims with steel railing to meet the modern demands of rail transport.

Viadukt ve Slavíči is part of a complex of major technical monuments that include Hranický viaducts and Lake viaduct. These buildings were built to overcome the vast valley of the Bečevská gate. In 2007, the bridge was declared a monument, highlighting its historical and technical importance.

Today the viaduct is accessible year round from the surrounding areas. For the safety of the train transport, it is not possible to enter the bridge, but there are bicycle routes 5 - Amber trail (Czech section) and route 6240. In 2024, the bridge is renovated, but it does not disturb rail transport on the line.

Viadukt ve Slavíči is not only a technical monument but also a witness to the history and development of railway transport in the Czech Republic. His visit offers a view of the architectural artwork from the period of the Industrial Revolution, which is worth exploring and appreciating.
