Karlovy Vary as Montenegro
The spa town plays Montenegro. The Grandhotel Pupp became the Hotel Splendide where Bond stays. Right opposite stands the Kaiserbad (Imperial Spa) – its façade is the exterior of the Casino Royale, where Bond plays poker against Le Chiffre. Most interiors were shot in the studio.
According to fan guides, the Mill Colonnade played the station where Bond and Vesper arrive in Montenegro by train.
Loket
In April 2006 the crew also filmed in Loket on the Ohře river. According to fan guides, this is where Bond first meets his Montenegro contact, René Mathis. The Czech Film Commission’s official list does not include Loket.
