The castle Jehnice was a mansion in Brno, in Brno-Jehnice. Its roots date back to the Middle Ages, when there was a free court in Nehnice, which gradually alternated its owners and transformed with the times.

At the end of the 18th century, the residential building of the yard evolved into a large storey building, called a castle. In 1822 it formed the southern part of the lamb's court and was primarily used to represent the owner. The classic layout of the addition included a large dining room with three windows, kitchen and other operating areas. The entrance to the building was solved from the side and the building was oriented south into the garden with its five window axes.

The fundamental change of the castle came in 1863, when the Brno industrialist Theodor von Offermann bought a large lamb farm. In the following decades, the operation expanded considerably and modernised, including the reconstruction of a local brewery, which belonged historically to the yard. Sometime in the 1970s or 1980s (before 1886), Offermann had a two-story building built in a neo-Renaissance style. The new building was oriented by the northern facade into the newly created English park, which changed the appearance of the complex considerably.

The English park led from the castle to the nearby Jehnutsky stream, where there was a pond and a bridge over the water tower, and continued behind it. In these places the park replaced the original buildings of the yard. A vegetable garden and a flower garden were spread west of the castle, and a fruity garden was situated south. On the first floor of the new building there were representative rooms - a large salon, a ladies' salon and a men's salon. The castle had 22 rooms in total.

Offermann and his descendants from the Bauer family owned a lamb farm until 1937. The Bauers probably lived here until 1935. In 1937 the siblings Karel Žofka and Božena Rinchenbachová bought the farm. A year later, in 1938, they had already destroyed the decrepit building of the castle.

After demolition, the area of the lost castle and park became part of the operational area of the neighbouring farm. Sometime between 1976 and 1990, an agricultural hall was built on site, which was converted into a badminton hall in 2006. This is currently used by the Badminton section of the local club TJ Sokol Jehnice. Two stone vases have been preserved from the castle, which are secondary to the Nehnice - one can be seen in the square on 3rd May, the other in the local cemetery.

It was like a game where heroes ruled over an entity of the kingdom. Mr. Jehnicki, his name, was a rich and powerful man who controlled the whole neighborhood. His castle was full of life, music and dancing ladies. At least that's what it looked like.
