The Chapel of the Virgin Mary stands in Prackov, which is part of the village of Peace under Kozákov. It is a single-boat sacral building that the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic officially declared a cultural monument in 2011.

The chapel was built by a local farmer František Trakal directly on his property. In his act he expressed joy at the end of the First World War. In September 1918 he turned to the builder František Jezek, who provided him with construction plans on 6 September of the same year. The building of the chapel started without delay and completed the following year, in 1919.

Since 1919, the chapel held a Prague pilgrimage dominated by procession. These traditions lasted for decades - at least until the 1930s when the last pilgrimage took place. The chapel remained in the hands of the Trakal family, which owned it by generations.

In the early twenty-first century, however, the construction was visibly decayed. But there was new hope in 2010 - the civil society took the initiative to save it. Thanks to their efforts, the chapel was thoroughly repaired. The renewed place soon came to life - cultural events began to take place here and the ancient tradition of pilgrimage was revived. The important day was 8 September 2013, when Mgr. Radek Jurneček, Archdecan of Liberec, reconsecrated the chapel.

The construction itself represents an interesting example of the MMалé sacral architecture of the time. The chapel is built from a brick wall on a rectangular plan. The bell tower is covered with a headliner, while the main ship has a more traditional saddle roof. The interior is decorated with a rich painting by the iron-brod painter Zedek, who testifies to the care that the owners gave to her cosy.

Today the chapel has become an important place not only for local believers, but also for those interested in local history and the roots of regional traditions. Her recovery is the story of a community that valued its heritage and decided to save them for generations to come.

The Chapel of the Virgin Mary stands on Prackov, which is part of the municipality of Mírová pod Kozákovem in the Liberec Region. It is a single-nave sacred building and has been a cultural monument since 2011.

The chapel was built on his land by a Prackov farmer named František Trakal. He wanted to express his joy over the end of the First World War. He turned to the architectural office of František Ježek and on September 6, 1918 he received plans from them. The construction was completed the following year. From 1919 onwards, Prackov pilgrimages with processions took place at the chapel. According to witnesses, the last one took place in the nineteen thirties.

The chapel remained in the possession of the Trakal family, but at the beginning of the twenty-first century it was visibly deteriorating. In 2010, a citizens' association was therefore established to save the chapel on Prackov. Thanks to it, the chapel was repaired and cultural events began to be held there. The tradition of pilgrimages was also renewed. On September 8, 2013, the chapel was consecrated again by the Liberec archdeacon Radek Jurnečka.

The chapel is built of brick and has a rectangular floor plan. The bell tower is covered with a pyramidal roof, the nave with a gabled roof. Inside there is rich wall painting by the iron-ore painter Zídek from Železná Brod.
