Korozluky Castle
In the place of today's castle there was already a fortress in the middle of the Middle Ages, which first mentioned in 1408. This original structure disappeared over time, but the site was not lost in interest. New life came back here at the end of the eighteenth century František Václav Rajský z Dubnice, the regional captain of the Litomeric Region, who had built a late baroque one-storey castle around 1775. The construction, however, soon changed owners - in 1786 it was sold to pay debts.
The fundamental transformations came in the early nineteenth century. In 1806, the knight Václav Beníško z Dobroslavi had the castle rebuilt into a classical form, transforming it into a one-story double-wing building. Forty years later, in 1848, entrepreneurs from nearby Most - brothers Alex and Josef Fleischer, known as brewery entrepreneurs, seized the castle. They left it in 1870 with the last great reconstruction that shaped its shape until now. In 1887, the castle was taken into the hands of the Richter family, which owned it for more than fifty years until confiscation in 1945.
The period after World War II did not wish the castle very much. Gradually he served as a hostel, the headquarters of the Vělák cooperative and the local JZD. In 1960, an agricultural school was set up in his premises, but it was later transferred to Podborány. Subsequently, the chateau served as an administrative building of the Bílina State Farm and finally as a civil defence warehouse for the District National Committee. The construction gradually faded until it turned into a ruin without a roof.
The rescue was brought only in 1994, when architect Miroslav Perot started working here, who acquired the castle as a replacement restitution for the toy factory in Mělnik. With the support of subsidies from the District Office and the Ministry of Culture's Architectural Heritage Programme, gross construction was saved. Ústecký kraj contributed to the repair of the interiors and adjacent park, which was supplemented by the Environment Ministry's Garden and Park Restoration Program.
The castle park was founded at the end of the nineteenth century by the Richters. Part of the complex is a chapel of St. Joseph in the shape of a rotunda, which they built near the driveway. Over time, the park was decaying, growing up with flying trees, and serving as an ash dump. During regeneration, the area was cleaned and planted with new trees and plants typical of the nearby national natural monument in Janské vrůch. The chapel was restored and in 2004 was reconsecrated by the Lithomeric Bishop Josef Koukl.
Today, the castle is open to the public by agreement with the owner, Mr. Perout. On the ground floor are exhibited collections of sacral art from old Most churches, on the floor then the castle interiors of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. The area serves for various cultural and social events - in 2008 the Great Night Music was held for the public.
