The church in Nikolčice in the district of Břeclav grew up at a time when the Ditrichstein estate systematically restored its parish network. The first mention of the church in the village dates back to 1351, but the construction we see today dates back to the late 18th century. Ditrichstein architect Jan Karel Hromádko developed a new temple project in 1775, which was then built between 1777 and 1779. It is part of a larger program of spiritual construction conducted in the last decades of the 18th century on the Czech Moravian property of the estate.

The construction retains the typical characteristics of the Baroque. The church is a single boat, situated north-south and unoriented. The dimensions give an idea of the size of the temple - it reaches 26 metres and 12 metres wide. The main architectural element is the planted priestry with a semicircular ending, to which lies the oblong sacristy with rounded corners. The south side of the ship is closed by an entrance unit with a characteristic prism tower and rounded corners. Between the tower and the ship, there are concave wings on both sides hiding a spiral staircase for entry.

The facade is broken down by embedded fillings with segmented sealed windows equipped with champagne. The interior shows a consistent композic solution - the height of the pancake between the waist and the tail, the boat is also encapsulated with buttons. In the southern part of the ship, there is a musical circle underpinned by slats, whose parapets carry elegant pillar arcades. The entrance to the church is sealed with a plaque and led by a tower.

The inner furnishings of the temple indicate a gradual enrichment of its appearance. The two-piece main altar is original and carries a brick retabular with decoration. The main picture is the depiction of St. James Već by Jan Chambrez. At the base of the columns stands statues of a conscientious Shebestian and St. Rocha. The younger side altars dedicated to St. Cyril and Methodius and the Virgin Mary were taken in 1881. The decoration includes four tin candlesticks in classical style. The Baroque pulpit comes from the time of construction. The musical part of the church enriches the organ from Josef Hauka from the Hungarian Hradiste. In 1899 the interior was newly painted by the Jaroš brothers.

The bell file of the temple has gone through dramatic history. Originally, the church had three bells, the oldest of which came from the 14th century. These bells, however, were targeted at the first World War's начне by war props. After the war ended, two new bronze bells were made, but they suffered the same fate in 1942. Currently in the bell tower there are bells named Jakub and Marie, dating back to 1968 and created by the Dytrych piece.

The church is the parish temple of the parish Nikolčice and bears the status of cultural monument. It stands on the northern part of the village at the end of the road baits and remains one of the characteristic elements of the local landscape.
