Church of Saint Joseph in Dubenci is nowadays a Roman Catholic subsidiary church, but it used to be a parish church. It is protected as a cultural monument of the Czech Republic.
Its origins date back to the year 1343, when Hynek of Náchoda founded the original church. At that time it was dedicated to Saint Wenceslaus. The patron of the church was the owner of the Dubenci estate, knight Přibík. During the Hussite Wars, the church was damaged and around 1600 it had to be rebuilt. This building also did not have a peaceful fate. In 1645 it was damaged by the Swedes.
Around 1660, Jesuits from Žireč came to Dubenci and among other things they took care of a new vault of the church. Construction of today's church began in 1736 and incorporated remains of the older church. The tower and the enlargement of the church were completed in 1738.
It is a single-nave Baroque building of irregular ground plan. It is oriented, with the presbytery facing east. From the outside it is supported by three pairs of unplastered pillars that flatten towards the top. The walls are plastered and the roof is barrel-shaped, covered with tiles.
