St. Michael's Church in Libkovic, located in a village within the district of Mariánské Radčice Ústí Region, was a remarkable Renaissance structure built between 1893 and 1895. She replaced an earlier church dedicated to St. Nicholas from the 14th century and served as an important religious place before his demolition in 2002 due to a bad condition. This monument is particularly remarkable for its architectural style and historical importance in the region.
The original church in this place dates back to the 14th century, originally serving as a parish church dedicated to St. Nicholas. Over time, Libkovice became part of the Marian Radčická component under the administration of Osek's Cistercian monks. At the end of the 19th century, the medieval building was replaced by a new building Meinrad Siegl, at the time by the Abbot Oska. This Renaissance church reflected the historical architectural trend prevailing in this period.
Architecturally, the Church of St. Michael illustrated the Renaissance style, characterized by revitalist elements inspired by the former Renaissance architecture. The construction and construction of Meinrad Siegl included these stylistic features, making them a representative example of architectural trends in the Czech Republic in the late 19th century.
During its history, the church remained part of the parish of Mariánské Radčice even after the construction of the new building. Despite its historical and architectural importance, the church faced challenges due to deteriorating time conditions. In 2002 it was finally demolished as part of a wider effort related to local coal mining.
An interesting aspect of the history of the church includes his organ created in 1884 by Anton Feller of Liboufou. The organ remained functional until 1987 and was later moved to the church of St. Mary Magdalene in Greenica after the demolition of St. Michael's church.
Today, while the physical structure is no longer standing, the historical importance of the site is still recognised. Visitors interested in the Czech architectural history or cultural heritage of the region can find value in exploring the story and heritage of this prominent church. Although the building itself is gone, it serves as a reminder of the rich historical tapestry that defines Libkovice and its surroundings.

The Church of Saint Michael the Archangel in Libkovice no longer stands. It was a Neo-Renaissance building from the end of the nineteenth century. It was demolished in the year two thousand and two as the last remaining building of the Libkovice settlement.
A church had stood on the same spot already in the fourteenth century. It was dedicated to Saint Nicholas and was listed as a parish church. Later, Libkovice became a branch of the parish of Mariánské Radčice, which was managed by Cistercian monks from Osek. The original church was apparently demolished in the nineteenth century.
The new church was built in the years eighteen ninety-three to eighteen ninety-five by the then Osek abbot Meinrad Siegl. At the same time, the dedication changed and Saint Michael became the patron of the church instead of Saint Nicholas. The building was created in the style of pseudo-renaissance. Even after that, Libkovice did not gain its own parish and remained part of the Mariánské Radčice parish. The church was protected as a cultural monument, however, under the name of the original church.
At the beginning of the nineteen nineties, the village was liquidated because of coal mining. The church was spared at that time and stood until the year two thousand and two. By then it was in poor condition and without a roof, and so it was demolished.
The church contained an organ from the year eighteen eighty-four by the organ builder Anton Feller from Libouchka. It was in use until the year nineteen eighty-seven. Before the demolition of the church, it was moved to the Church of Saint Mary Magdalene in Mařenice in the district of Česká Lípa.
