In 1636 Jan Oldřich from Bisingen bought the estate, which had the fort rebuilt into a Baroque castle. The building was used as the mansion of the Great Lipno. In 1676 the estate was bought by the sons of John Oldřich by Jiří Ludvik of Sinzendorf. Its ownership took only sixteen years - in 1692 its descendants sold it to Ferdinand of Schwarzenberg for 22,000 gold coins. Since then, the castle has remained the property of the influential Schwarzenberg family until nationalization. While in the early years of the Schwarzenberg era the castle served as a seat of a separate estate, after joining the Neo-hrad estate, its role changed - mainly provided the administration of the local agricultural court.
The Baroque castle we see today came from a Schwarzenberg reconstruction dating back to about 1700. The builders probably kept the original rectangular plan, but they rebuilt its internal layout. The one-storey building boasts a splendor facade divided by pilasters. On the ground floor there is a blind arcade, which was originally open, on the floor there are originally large rectangular windows in stone sides, which in the second half of the twentieth century partially replaced the three-piece windows. On the west side of the castle there was a Baroque granary, dated 1709 engraved into the entrance portal. The granary was built according to the design of architect Pavel Ignác Bayer, who could also be the author of the Baroque form of the castle itself. Nor can the contribution of Giacomo Antonio de Maggi, who, in the position of the builder of Prince Schwarzenberg, worked before Bayer - his authorship would point out the early Baroque form of the eastern shield of the castle building.
