Lovecký zámeček Liščí kámen is a late Baroque building from the second half of the 18th century, located in the village Krásný Les in Karlovy Vary district. Together with the adjacent grove, it is a cultural monument at the foot of the hill Meluzín in the Erzgebirge Mountains. Originally, the castle was built as a facility for Hauenstein Castle.

The construction, built in the second half of the 18th century, reflects the enlightened ideas and baroque architecture that were reflected in the construction of rural residences. The castle is a self-standing two-storey brick and plastered building with a rectangular plan to which the modern part on the north side was added. Valb roof covers cardboard templates. The main facade with three window axes is decorated with a profiled cordon and a main ledge, supplemented with simple corner lizens. The windows are placed in the face and framed with shamrans with handles in the style of baroque textures. The stone staircase leading to a slightly elevated ground floor is located in the middle of the facade.

The interior is divided into three tracts, where the medium serves as a communication area with an exit to the yard and a staircase to the floor. On the ground floor there was a black kitchen in the back of the right side tract, while the living rooms were located in the front of the side tracks. The living quarters have flat ceilings with a fabion. There were loading holes in the corridors that were not preserved. Crov is hambalic.

In the vicinity of the castle stands a separate two-storey barbed and plastered building on the ground plan of the rectangle, serving as a grove. The asymmetric saddle roof is covered by sheet metal on one side and fibre cement templates on the other. The first floor is made of quarry stone, while the second is paved with mixed stone-brick filler. The southern shield is covered with shingles cover and the north front is boarded. The facade contains the ground floor entrance and one window, while on the floor there are four window axes. The rough facade is decorated with smooth lizens and champagne.

The rugged grove has a three-piece plan with a central entrance hall, side window, chamber, barn and cellar. The chamber on the ground floor has a valened vault, while the barn is encapsulated by a valened vault into the traverse; other rooms have flat ceilings. Crov is crocodile type with carved beams.

In the middle of the 19th century, when the grove was built, the area belonged to Countess Buqouy of the Red Castle. In 2002, the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic declared the hunting lodge and hunting grounds a cultural monument.

Today the object serves recreational purposes. The monument is available on the hiking trail, which leads from Kovárský to the Guard of the Fire. Lovecký zámeček Liščí kámen represents a valuable architectural complex in the natural environment of the Erzgebirge Mountains and it is advisable to visit it during a walk around the mountain of Meluzín.

Hello! Welcome to the Fox Stone, a unique hunting lodge built in the Valley of the Erzgebirge. This little baroque treasure awaits you with open arms and prepares to tell you its secret.

Let's get started! Under your feet the Krásný Les spreads with its shiny greenery. And if you step a little further, you'll see the fox stone hunting castle hidden under the foot of the top of Meluzín. This small but elegant building boasts its late Baroque architecture and was built in the second half of the 18th century.

Let's start by looking at his history. The hunting castle served as a background for Hauenstejn Castle and was built at a time when Baroque art reached its peak in bloom. Although we do not know exactly who designed it, we know that hraběnka Buqouyová z Červeného hrádku was one of the key personalities associated with this monument. Her name is inextricably linked to the history of this place.

Look up at the facade of the castle and notice its elegant design that characterizes the late Baroque. Although specific details are not specified, you can feel history in every piece of stone and in the atmosphere surrounding this castle.

It is interesting to note that in the middle of the 19th century a raked grove was built, which contributed to making Fox Stone a part of the recreation area. And that was not the connotation of his history. In 2002 this castle was declared a cultural monument by the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic.

Now, if you look around, you can see how nature and architecture form a harmonious symphony. This castle is more than just a historical object; It's a place where the past meets the present.

If you want to explore more, you can dive into the Beautiful Forest and find the other beauty this region offers. And when you think of Fox Stone, make sure you remember its elegant baroque line and a history of interesting stories.

Thank you for your attention! I hope the Fox Stone inspired and intrigued you. May you enjoy your next discovery!
