The Prague Klementinum Meteorological Station is renowned as the oldest meteorological station in the Czech Republic, dating back to 1752. By 1786, the instruments were relocated to the northern wall of a building near St. Clement's Church, where they remain today. Throughout its history, Klementinum has seen various administrators who have shaped its trajectory. Following Strnad, Alois Martin David continued to promote meteorology by organizing additional stations across the Czech lands. In the mid-19th century, under Karl Kreil's leadership, the station expanded its observations significantly, introducing self-recording instruments for more precise data collection. Despite challenges in later years, including reduced observation frequency and threats to its existence, the station managed to maintain operations.
