Radnice v Brandýse nad Labem on Masaryk Square is a historic building with a rich history and architectural link. Its transformations from the Renaissance to the Baroque to the Art Nouveau reflect the cultural and historical development of the region Brandýs nad Labem - Stará Boleslav. The building represents an important element of the local heritage and today serves as the seat of the Municipal Office.

The history of the town hall dates back to the end of the 16th century, when it served as the seat of the town express Jiřík. In 1508 the building became the property of the city thanks to the gift of Joan of the Landscape. During the Thirty Years' War, the City Hall was destroyed in 1639, which required several stages of reconstruction. After war damage, the building was restored in Baroque style. In 1837, the arch and extension of the building in the place of the demolished neighbouring house occurred. At the beginning of the 20th century, the town hall underwent a Art Nouveau reconstruction that brought about another architectural shift.

The town hall is an architecturally single-storey building with a rectangular plan and a high valb roof. The main facade consists of a plinth, a ledge and a central triangle shield. The entrance to the building is located right in the middle of the facade. The adjacent building no. 2 has a rich decoration, which includes a two-wing entrance door and balcony with a forged railing. The Art Nouveau elements decorate the inner spaces and the external facade of both buildings, which underlines their historical character.

The ownership and administration of City Hall was changing over time. After a gift from Joan of Krajk in 1508, the city used the building as a salt house, reflecting the economic situation at the time. As a result of the Thirty Years' War and subsequent conflicts, the construction had to undergo numerous repairs and reconstructions.

Major events include destruction during the Thirty Years' War and subsequent renewal. The expansion of the building and the rickets in 1837 enabled better use of space. The Art Nouveau designs at the beginning of the 20th century then gave the construction a new look.

Today, the City Hall in Brandýse nad Labem forms an active centre of governance and culture. The headquarters of the Municipal Office here functions as an important point for residents and visitors. Its attraction is based on historical importance and architectural beauty, which can be seen while walking through Masaryk Square.

Visiting the town hall offers a unique view of the history of the city of Brandýs nad Labem and its architectural development. The building recalls how history shapes the present and why cultural monuments must be protected for future generations. The town hall is worth visiting not only as an administrative centre, but above all as a witness to the rich history and culture of the entire region.

In spring, the surroundings of the building awaken to life and the colors in nature are beginning to look very fresh. The light is soft in this period and does not shine. It's good to wear several layers of clothing because the wounds are usually cold, while the afternoon can be pleasant. The best time to walk around the town hall is in the morning when the air is the cleanest.

The summer season brings strong sunshine to the city and long days of warmth. The shadows of historic buildings offer a pleasant shelter from the heat. We recommend choosing light and airy substances and not forgetting the headgear. For a more pleasant experience it is better to visit the area in the early hours or just before sunset when the temperature is lower.

Autumn turns the surroundings into a colorful mosaic of colors and brings foggy mornings that provide the place with mystery. The light is golden at this time and very beautiful for capturing the images. It is necessary to have a waterproof jacket ready and a firmer shoe in case of rain or wet surface. Ideal is a walk in the afternoon, when the leaf colors most excel.

In winter months, the atmosphere is calm and quiet, often accompanied by freezing air or snow. Days are short and light is weak. It is necessary to dress well in the heat layer, including scarves and gloves, so that the cold does not surprise you. The best is to plan a visit around noon when the lights are the most, and take care of quality shoes in case of ice.
