Radnice v Načeradci, located in the district of Benešov, is a monument protected object which, together with the bell tower, dominates Castle Square. It was built in 1543 as a Renaissance building and later rebuilt into a Baroque style in 1738. Today's appearance retains elements from different periods, making it architecturally interesting. The town hall serves as the headquarters of the city hall Načeradec and hosts a permanent exhibition "Window to the life of our ancestors," which focuses on the history of the building and region.

The town hall was connected with the development of Renaissance architecture in Bohemia. It was originally built as a Renaissance building, attached to existing Gothic structures, including bell tower and probably a fortified church. This architectural approach reflected cultural and artistic trends at the time.

The architecture of the town hall is characterized by a one-story arrangement with a narrow front facing the square. The building has a mansard roof decorated with a turret and a skylight with a bell. Internal corridors are passable, with inputs located on both sides of the building. The facades were newly modified, which gave their present appearance.

The bell tower, located in the northern part of the town hall, is a late Gothic building originally used as a salt house. After 1545, the upper part was added, which became the bell tower. In 1818 there was a classical construction with a historic bell on the bell floor. This structure is considered an authentic medieval element.

The building has undergone several major modifications during its history. After the Renaissance exhibition it was rebuilt in 1738, reflecting cultural and artistic changes of the 18th century. Other construction modifications took place in the late 19th century with changes of facades. Today the town hall is not only the administrative centre of the city Načeradec, but also the host of the exhibition that brings visitors insight into the history of the region.

Today's state of the building reflects its rich history and architectural development. City Hall is not only an administrative centre but also a cultural heritage that attracts visitors from all over the region. Its history and architecture are a testament to the changes that Načeradec has undergone over the centuries.

Visiting the town hall offers a unique opportunity to become acquainted with the history and architecture of the region. It is a place where not only administrative services can be used, but also to explore the past through permanent exposure. The town hall is therefore an important cultural and historical point, which is worth visiting every interested person in Czech history and architecture.

Welcome to the heart of the Master. Stop for a moment, take a breath and look in front of you. You're standing in front of a building that is the real symbol of this place and its proud witness. In front of you is the town hall, a building that together with its bell tower forms the main dominance of the entire square. It is a place where deep history meets daily life, because the building still fulfils its original role and serves as the seat of the City Office Načeradec. Feel the atmosphere of this space and imagine how many generations of people have come through the same door that you could enter. Let us now come together at the very beginning of this building and try to imagine the time of its creation. The history of this town hall dates back to the 16th century. In the year exactly five hundred forty-three, the building was built. At that time, the Renaissance ruled Europe, a period of rebirth, which brought a new sense of harmony, order and human scale to architecture. Imagine what this square looked like almost five years ago when this building was a new landscape. It was a symbol of the power, administration and stability of the city. Although the building changed over the centuries, its basic mission remained the same. It was and is the centre of the community, a place where the fate of the local people was decided and people from around it met. Now pay attention to the appearance of the building you see before you. City Hall architecture is a fascinating story about layering different epoch. Although it was originally Renaissance, time and changing taste in architecture left their mark on it. In seven hundred and thirty-eight, the town hall underwent an important reconstruction, which gave it a Baroque style. The Baroque brought with it more dynamism, the ground floor features became more plastic and the overall impression was more noble. Please look up on the roof. Notice its very specific shape. It's a so-called Mansard roof. This type of cover is characterized by its broken inclination, which gives the building some elegance and also increases the utility space in the attic. If you look even more carefully, you'll see a little turret and a skylight on the roof. These elements break down the roof area and provide an unmistakable profile that dominates the surrounding building. Now let's look at the north side of the building. Here is the bell tower, which is another important part of the complex. It was built much later, namely in the year one thousand eight hundred and eighteen. At this time, classical architecture was in fashion, which deliberately returned to simplicity, cleanliness and rigour of ancient designs. Classicism sought balance and clarity, which you can see in the form of this tower. In its upper part there is a historical bell. His sound has been accompanied by the life of the Naker's people for many generations. The bell in the past was much more than an ornament or an announcement of time. It was the voice of a city that called people on mass, warned of danger, or rang in joyful and sad ocamytes. This is where we get to one of the most interesting things related to this building. It's a detail that may not be obvious at first glance, but that reveals how practically people have thought in the past. Did you know that this bell tower in the north of the building has not always had its current purpose? It was originally used as a salt shaker. This may surprise you today, but in the past salt has been an extremely valuable commodity. It was sometimes called white gold because it was essential for food preservation and for human and animal health. Its safe storage under city hall supervision was crucial for the city in terms of economy and survival. It is fascinating to think that in the space where we hear the sound of a bell today, salt was once stored, which was the basis of the wealth and stability of the locals. In addition to administrative areas where the office still works, the town hall hosts something very special for all visitors. In the building there is a permanent exhibition with a very poetic name Window into the life of our ancestors. It's a space where you can leave the present for a while and see the world of the people who lived here before us. This exhibition is not just a collection of old things, but a bridge between generations. It helps us to understand what everyday work, domestic duties or the leisure of our ancestors in the region looked like. It's an invitation to think about what's changed in our lives and what's remained the same for hundreds of years. When you look at City Hall in the Naker today, you see basically a stone book. Every element, from Renaissance foundations to Baroque roof to classical bell tower, is one chapter in the history of this place. Even though we don't know the names of the particular architects who designed this construction, their work speaks for them. We see it as an effort to maintain traditions and courage to modernize in every new time. The building remains a living organism that has adapted to the needs of time, but has not lost its dignity. Now you can explore city hall at your own pace. I suggest you look again at the details of her facade, think about the history of the salt house in the north tower, or visit the exposition mentioned, and actually look into that window in the past. Feel the silence of the square, which is surrounded by this monument, and let yourself be carried away by the imaginations of the people who here founded the foundation of today's Hoarder five years ago. Thank you for walking together through the history of this beautiful place. I hope you're interested in the town hall story and that you found a piece of your own inspiration in it. I wish you a pleasant rest of your visit to the Naker and many other discoveries while exploring your surroundings. Goodbye.

Tips for visitors

The best time to visit is spring and autumn months. The pleasant temperatures and lighter light will highlight the details of the Renaissance and Baroque facade of the building.

We recommend to bring comfortable shoes for a walk around the square and a camera to capture architecture.

For the best pictures, focus your lens on connecting the town hall with the bell tower, which together form the dominant square. Ideal light for shooting the facade is in the morning or late afternoon.

A short walk around the building is suitable for families with children, during which children can observe differences between Renaissance and Baroque style of construction.

Seasonal recommendations

In the spring, the town hall area in the Hoarder awakens to life. Blossoming trees and fresh greenery create a pleasant contrast with the historical appearance of the building. I recommend visiting the place in the morning when the air is the cleanest. Due to the variable weather, it is advisable to choose layered clothes.

The summer season brings sharp sun and rich colors. The town hall stands out in bright light with its architecture and the surrounding shadow offers a relief from heat. The best time for a walk is the late afternoon when the light softens. Don't forget light, breathable clothes and sun protection.

Autumn in Nacheradec is a period of golden leaves and mornings that provide a mysterious atmosphere to the memory. The colors of the surrounding nature match the tones of the facade. It is practical to carry a waterproof jacket and tight shoes because the road can be wet. An ideal visit is during a sunny afternoon.

In winter, the town hall works calmly and quietly, especially if it is covered by a layer of snow. Short days and cold air create a specific, quiet mood, which is very cozy in advent time. It is necessary to wear a warm coat, gloves and a hat. I suggest you come earlier so you can have daylight.
