Radnice ve Valašském Meziříčí, also known as Krásenská Town Hall, is a historical monument with a rich past and architectural significance. It stands in the center of the city, in the place of the original village Krásno nad Bečvou. It is especially famous for Baroque elements from the 18th century. In 1958 it was officially recognised as a cultural monument and has since maintained its place in history and contemporary culture.

The town hall is closely connected with the village Krasno, which bought it in 1580 for 500 tolars from Bernard of Žerotín. The building was originally renaissance style. In 1765- 66, however, it underwent extensive Baroque reconstruction, which transformed it into its current form. The modifications included the addition of floors, gazebo and outdoor staircases, which significantly changed her appearance. In 1865 a second shield was added, which further enriched the architectural structure.

The architecture of the town hall is typical of the Baroque style, which appeared in the Czech Republic especially in large earthly settlements and urban buildings. A single-storey building with a saddle roof is equipped with a square boat with an entrance staircase and an arcade on the floor. Lodžie is arched by the so-called Czech flat and ended with an onion roof with lantern and poppy. The entry portals on the ground floor and on the floor of the lodžie are rectangular, have sandstone lining and are dated 1765. On the front of the lodjie is located the emblem of the town of Krásna and wooden sculpture of the Walash Madonna with a child from Ambroz Špečík.

The town hall belonged to the village Krásno since 1580. After the merger with Beauty in 1923 she became part of the city of Valašské Meziříčí. During its history, it has undergone a number of changes reflecting its diverse use. From the location for the city council and the school, the building has turned into an apartment for a bailiff, warehouse, dormitory, butcher shop and finally a library. The general reconstruction in the years 1957-60 removed later extensions and returned the Baroque style to the construction.

Key events include Baroque reconstruction in 1765-66, a major repair in 1865 with the addition of a second shield and general reconstruction in the 1950s. In 1976, a fresco of St. Florian was discovered in the shield of the northwest facade, adding another historical dimension to the monument.

Today, the town hall in Valašské Meziříčí is open to visitors and serves as a World of Games and Knowledge of the Helicopter. Its rich history and architectural importance make it not only a cultural monument, but also an interesting goal for anyone interested in history and construction. The visit offers an opportunity to explore her past and appreciate the contribution to the local cultural heritage.

Radnice ve Valašském Meziříčí is therefore not only an architectural pearl, but also a testament to the region's rich history. Its importance to the local community makes it a valuable object worth visiting and discovering its beauty and historical stories.

Welcome to Krásenská Town Hall in Valaše Mezirich! This historical monument is turned off pyramidally above the city centre, offering a wonderful view and reminiscent of the rich past of this area. In front of you stands an impressive building with baroque elements that will undoubtedly interest you with their architectural beauty and historical significance.

Let's dive into its creation. In 1580 the village Krásno purchased the town hall for 500 tolars from Bernard of Žerotín, which was an important step for the development of the city. The original Renaissance structure has changed over the years and gained its present Baroque form at the beginning of the 18th century. During the years 1765-66, the building was rebuilt, which included the extension of floors, gazes and outdoor staircases. In 1865, the second shield was added to its architectural structure.

Look up at the facade and notice the baroque details that give the building enormous elegance. The interior of the city hall is also full of historical stories, but first let's focus on its external appearance and key personalities that affected its fate.

Bernard ze Žerotína was one of the first owners of the town hall. His decision to sell it to the village of Krasno had a significant impact on the history of this place. A general reconstruction was carried out in 1957- 60, which removed later additions and returned the construction of its original Baroque style. This reconstruction helped to make Krásenská Town Hall a cultural heritage that maintains its beauty and historical significance.

Now pay attention to one of the most famous attractions of this place. In 1976, a fresco of St. Florian was discovered in the shield, adding another layer of historical value and love to this building. This mysterious painting has become one of the most distinctive elements of the town hall and is the reason why many visitors notice its existence.

The town hall in Valašské Meziríč is truly a unique place with rich history and architectural significance. Since 1958 it has been protected as a cultural monument, which makes it not only an important part of the local heritage, but also a attraction for historians and tourists around the world.

I suggest you take a closer look at the town hall. Krásno nad Bečvou offers many other attractions you should not miss. I hope your visiting day will be full of discoveries and stories about the past of this fascinating place.

Thank you for your attention and I hope you will return to Krásenské Town Hall. When we meet again in this place, I wish you a beautiful day!
