The sandstone baroque statue of the pestilence patrons from 1732 is situated in the centre of the village of Janovice in the district of Hradec Králové near the road to Nohloušice. This unique object has been protected as a real cultural monument of the Czech Republic since 10 June 1998.

The work was created in 1732 at the time of the high Baroque. This artistic period of the first half of the 18th century highlighted dynamics and emotions. The cult of plague patrons then expressed faith and desire to protect against epidemics.

The sculpture is made of sandstone. The base consists of two sloping corner pillars with right-cut corners and a wide, slightly convex central field. The whole structure is on a profiled plinth with a ledge. The central field shall bear the Latin inscription "SANCTI: / SEBASTIANE ROSALIA ET ROCHE / A PESTE NOS LIBERTATE '. Above the inscription is the arch of the cave-shaped arch of St. Rosalie's relief. It is shown with the head supported by the left elbow, crucifix in the right hand and skull to the head. Nice ends with prismatic pillars with a plinth and a header that supports low standing voltages. The face of these pillars is decorated with plastic rotations and the year 1732.

On the left pillar is a statue of St. Sebastian. It's depicted as a young man in a loincloth, chained to a tree with iron arrows in it. The right pillar carries the statue of St. Rocha in a pilgrim dress with shells and a rosary. At his feet is a dog and in his left hand, which he holds on his chest, he holds an iron rod with a ball at the end.

The centre of the sculpture is dominated by a tall wooden cross, which is provided from behind by a prismatic stone adjective. At his heel there is a torso of a stone character with two alliance coats of arms - the left one contains a star and the right anchor. The space around the sculpture is surrounded by black lattice fence from intertwined round bars.

There's a wooden bell in the immediate vicinity. Thanks to its preservation and iconography, the object is a valuable testament to the Baroque era. It offers visitors the opportunity to observe detailed stonework and specific symbols of the pestilence.
