It was during this period of the early nineteenth century that the estate took the form that you see today. This was the time when rural buildings adapted to the new needs and standards of the then management, while still adhering to traditional craft practices. So this house is not just an ordinary garb, but an embodiment of the architectural spirit of its time.

Now I would like to ask you to pay attention to the architecture itself and the details that are right in front of your eyes. Look at the front of the house. Notice the so-called five-axis facade. In architecture we call the vertical line, which is made up of windows or doors above. Five such vertical rows in this house bear witness to its relatively large size and importance as part of the estate.

Now, look down and focus on the material. The whole building is carried out by traditional grafting from the balls. The balls are thick wooden beams that form the walls of the house. Between a thousand and nine hundred and ninety-five and ninety-six, the estate underwent a major adjustment. The original agricultural grunt was converted into a hotel facility. It is a fascinating transformation that shows how historical memory can be preserved while giving it a new function in the modern world. Thanks to this change, the construction was not abandoned or demolished, but it gained a new life and became available to visitors who are now looking for peace and authenticity in the heart of Štramberka.

It's where time stopped, but it's constantly evolving.
