Církvice is a chateau in the village of the same name in the district of Kolín in the Central Bohemian Region. This small rural chateau is protected as a cultural monument and represents an interesting example of the transformation of an economic building into a private residence during the eighteenth century.

The sailing court in the Church has existed for a long time - its existence is documented at the beginning of the 15th century and later in 1603. The crucial break in his history was the period before 1672 when Sázavský klášter bought the village. He gradually transferred his economic activities here, and after 1713 he had built a parochial house with four living rooms, which was intended to serve for the needs of monastic officials and also for the possible residence of Sázahn monks. This building is first documented in the Teresian cadastral.

However, the fate of the chateau changed in the last third of the eighteenth century when the court became private property. In 1772 Abbot Leandr Kramář sold it to František Posselt. Only nineteen years later he bought it in 1783 or 1784 (the sources differ at the exact date). It was one of the new world owners who decided to rebuild the old economic building into a small chateau and at the same time set up a chapel that became an integral part of the building.

In other generations the chateau was owned by several Belangrijite aristocratic families. From 1814 to 1872, the family belonged to the rummerskirchen rafts. In 1889 he became part of the great estate A. Linharta, but soon afterwards he sold it to Count Leopold of Šternberk. He joined him to the nearby Freaks and the chateau returned to its original post - served as a seat of officials. As a result of the land reform, the economic part of the land was split up in 1926.

The building form of the chateau remained relatively modest and unchanged. It is a one-storey building with a rectangular plan and a mansard roof. Only part of the surrounding masonry was preserved from the construction of the original superstructure from the beginning of the eighteenth century. The most characteristic element is the south side, where it still stands out the priesthood of the former chapel. In addition to its own chateau building are also protected related buildings - in particular Šhohchar no. 87, preserved section of the fenced wall and the corresponding land.

After World War II, the building changed its function and served as a warehouse for the District National Committee Kolína, which was a typical transformation of noble settlements at the time.

Welcome to the historic chateau in the Church. You are standing in front of a one-story chateau, which originally served as a monastery economic court. Let's move on to the past and find out how this building turned into a private residence.

The original sailing yard in the Church has existed since the beginning of the 15th century. In 1672 it was bought by Sázavský klášter, which established its economic background here. In the eighteenth century, the monastery moved on to reconstruction and the yard turned into a superstructure house.

Notice how the court turned into a beautiful chateau. The facade is decorated with a simple facade with wooden windows and entrance gate. Look up and see how the roof consists of shingles. The facade is lined with pillars that give the construction security and stability.

Now pay attention to the chapel that is part of the chateau. The chapel was built in the eighteenth century and served as a private chapel for the chateau owners. The inner space of the chapel is spacious and airy, with simple painting and wooden benches.

Církvice is also associated with the personality of František Posselt, who worked here as administrator of the monastery. František Posselt was an important figure of his time, who advocated reforms in the monastery. Another interesting person who joined Církvicemi is Emanuel Zádubský ze Šontálu, who owned the chateau in the 18th century.

The interesting thing is that Církvice is protected as a cultural monument and represents the transformation of an economic building into a private residence in the eighteenth century. It's an extraordinary place to take us back to the past and show how this building turned into a beautiful chateau.

Allow me to invite you to explore this beautiful place again. Církvice are full of secrets and historical stories waiting for you. I'll say goodbye to you at this beautiful monument and hope you're interested in Církvice.

This is what it looked like! The chateau was the seat of a local estate and later a noble family. People lived in the area, farm the fields, and pasture the sheep. Církvice was a safe haven for ordinary people who met here on the markets and celebrated holidays.
