Dům čp. 213 (Štramberk) House

House No. 213 is located on Planava street in Štramberk in Nová Jicin district. It is a grafted building from the beginning of the 19th century, which is part of the town conservation and was registered in the Central List of Cultural Monuments of the Czech Republic before 1988. This object is an important example of the original suburban development, which has preserved its historical form for centuries.

The history of Štramberka dates back to the 16th century, when the square originally built 22 houses with wooden archway and shellfish law. In 1614 the number of farms increased to 28, with 19 houses behind the walls. In 1656, 53 houses were already built for Jesuit reign in the city. The first brick house No. 10 was built on the square in 1799. In the 1930s there were still twelve wooden houses near the square, one of which was No. 213. The fire in 1855 affected Štramberk and destroyed 40 houses and two barns.

The architecture of the house No. 213 is a ground-floor building with a tripartisan layout, which includes a scar, a hall and a spoiled chamber. The construction is grafted from the balls on a rectangular ground plan and oriented by the gutter side along the street and the slope. It is built on a tall plastered stone suspect, which equalizes the slope inequality, and is underglued with the entrance on the north side. On this side is added a small economic extension with a counter roof. The shield facade of the eastern two-axis has triangular shields which are vertically boarded with a quadratic array and a broken heel. On the south one-axis gutter side with a castrated window, there is a walled wall of the inner furnace in front of the gearing wall. The north facade is three axes and the entrance to the western shield diet is guided by an open platform with a counter roof. The roof of the house is a saddle covered with eternity.

House No. 213 is an interesting example of local construction in the early 19th century by its architectural features and historical significance. Its preservation allows you to look into the past and understand how Štramberk evolved over the years.
