Dům Jiskra, originally known as Stadt Mailand, is a notable historical monument located in Karlovy Vary’s spa district at Mariánskolázeňská 301/1. Constructed between 1893 and 1895, this four-story building features late historicism style with rich baroque-inspired decorations and stucco elements. It was declared a cultural monument on May 3, 1958, and potentially protected since December 31, 1981. Reflecting the architectural innovation of the Austro-Hungarian Empire era, it has served as both a hotel and residential property.

The origins of Dům Jiskra trace back to its construction in the late 19th century, replacing two older baroque houses on the site. Emanuel Grimm initially designed it in 1890, but Alfred Bayer finalized the plans with some modifications to the rear part. Josef Waldert's firm executed the construction between 1893 and 1895.

Architecturally, Dům Jiskra is distinguished by its richly decorated façade featuring stucco elements typical of Alfred Bayer’s work. The building showcases a segmental ground-floor portal adorned with a lying bovine eye and ornamental balustrades above the side windows. The first floor boasts an elaborately designed balcony with intricate wrought-iron railings, while the second floor features consoles supporting another balcony with similar ornamentation. The façade's upper sections are unified by lizenes, leading to stucco decorations including festoons, masks, and various motifs beneath the cornice. Ownership of Dům Jiskra has changed over the years. Initially commissioned by Katherine Urbanová as Stadt Mailand, Maria Urbanová owned it in 1906, 1914, and 1924 before selling it to Franz and Josefina Gleisinger, who maintained ownership until World War II's early stages. Following the war, the building was confiscated and renamed Lázeňský dům Jiskra. As of July 2021, ALISA K.V. company s.r.o. owns it, transforming it into a hotel named Alisa after extensive renovations.

Throughout its history, Dům Jiskra has witnessed significant events, particularly during and after World War II when ownership changed due to political shifts. Its architectural evolution from baroque origins to late historicism reflects broader cultural trends in Bohemia during the Austro-Hungarian Empire's reign.
