The Markus family owned it until the late 18th century, after which JUDr. Hugo Karlík, an influential local figure, became its owner by 1894 and utilized it as his law office. In 1896, Emil Veselý purchased the building, opening a leather goods shop, which later transitioned to MUDr. Václav Císař's dental practice until 1962.

Key events in the history of Dumetovský dům include its survival from the 1784 fire and subsequent use for educational purposes when Jan Markus allowed space within it for a school. By the late 19th century, under JUDr. Hugo Karlík’s ownership, the building had become an integral part of Rokycany's civic life.

Today, Dumetovský dům continues to be a vibrant part of Rokycany's cultural landscape. It has housed various businesses and organizations over the years, including a paper goods shop in the early 20th century, a photography cooperative from 1951, and more recently, commercial enterprises such as an advertising agency and a lottery office. Its designation as a protected cultural monument since 1958 underscores its historical and architectural significance.
