The town hall in Rokycany is a classic building in the middle of the southwest side of Masaryk Square in the district town of Rokycany, Pilsen Region. This town hall serves as a seat of the municipal office and is registered as a cultural monument in the Central List of Real Cultural Monuments of the Czech Republic. The dominant element of its architecture is a four-sided tower with an onion canopy and a lantern, which gives the building a unique character. Town Hall belongs to the town monument zone Rokycany, declared on 10 September 1992.

The first written mention of the town hall cellar dates back to 1530, suggesting that there was a building in this place at the time. The original Gothic house was rebuilt into a baroque style in the 16th century. During the Thirty Years' War in 1639, the Rokycans were destroyed by the Swedish troops that set the city on fire. After this disaster, the town hall was restored in an early Baroque style, but was again damaged by a fire in 1680. The Baroque version was rebuilt in 1712 as a one-story building with a smaller turret.

In 1784 the construction of a new town hall in the style of the classicising rococo began under the leadership of the Pilsen builder Antonín Barth. However, already in the same year, a great fire broke out, which destroyed an unattended city hall and another part of the city. After ten years of postponement, the building was reopened in 1804 and entrusted to Igsteň Alois Palliardi, an architect from the famous Prague family of Italian origin. Ignác Alois Palliardi increased the building by one floor and finished the work with a distinctive tower. The new Classicist Town Hall was completed in 1808.

On 13 August 1882 Jan Rokycana, a Hussite theologian and Archbishop of the Kalištní Church were discovered on the building. In 1850 a courtyard wing was added to the town hall, in 1892 the facade was modified in a neo-Baroque style and in 1931 the interiors were reconstructed. During the 1968 invasion, the City Hall was captured by Russian troops trying to take over the area for administration.

The town hall is a two-storey building with a risalite and the main entrance on the ground floor. The entrance arched portal has a stone lining with a gem above the door, over which is a deep niche shaped with a balcony and a bowling ball. On the first floor is the ceremonial hall with the painting of Alfonso Mucha "Basilee Council bowing before Jan Rokycana," created in 1933.

Today the town hall serves as an administrative center of the city and is available for visit. Its historical and architectural values make it a necessary place to explore. Visit the city hall in Rokycan and appreciate its rich history and artistic beauty.
