Fara (Dobřenice) Parish house

Baroque parish in Dobřenice, no. 31, is a cultural monument located in the centre of the village opposite the church of St. Klimenta in the district of Hradec Králové. This ground floor building with a mansard roof and creamy plastered stucco is remarkable not only in architectural style but also in historical significance. It was built in 1740 and belongs to the oldest cabin buildings in Hradecka. The Fara is protected as a cultural monument under the register number SAR 25369 / 6-597.

The formation of the rectory was linked to the Baroque era, which had a major impact on construction and art in Europe. During this time, the development of cities and agriculture took place in Bohemia, which was reflected in changes in architecture. The rectory was built on the materials of an old church that was demolished at the time. The building has a rectangular floor plan, a partially glued central corridor and an eastern part with a valence brick vault. There are 4 six-pane windows in the facade and 2 bay windows in the roof, which is broken by a mansard with two windows. The building is covered with an eternity cover and on the ground floor there are six rooms with beam and reed ceilings.

The history of the rectory has not noticed dramatic changes in ownership or administration, which is often typical of such cultural monuments. It is preserved and protected as a cultural monument by the National Heritage Institute, which lists it in the catalogue under the register number.
