In these stories, the names you know in the history books intersect. Although the castle seems modest, its fates were linked to figures like Přemysl Otakar II. or King Václav IV. Over time, the castle came into the hands of various powerful personalities, including Henry II of the Flovna and later became part of the reign of George of Podebrad. Each of these characters perceived this place through the prism of their own political situation. Later, in the year one thousand fifty-seven, the castle went into possession of a significant family of Šlik. It was during their reign that the process of abandoning him probably began. Perhaps it was no longer inhabited as intensely as it was customary, and gradually it became just a forgotten element in the landscape.

But here is one interesting thing that can make you think about how the world changes. Why would anyone let such a strategically placed point die? The castle Kraslice has been a functional instrument of power for centuries, but with the arrival of new ways of warfare and changing political maps its small size has ceased to be an advantage and has become a weakness. What we see today as a ruin was once a symbol of control and security. It's fascinating how nature gradually takes back the space that people have fought so hard and so hard.
