If you look around now, notice how the terrain naturally prevents access. The north and east slopes that surround you now are not just random cliffs. By the time people lived here, these slopes served as a hardy natural protection. Who could fight their way to a dwelling with such a natural wall in his back? This choice of place wasn't random, it was a question of survival.

To understand why this place is so special, we need to go back deep into the past, to a time when the world seemed much more wild and dangerous. The history of this castle is not just one story, it is a chain of several different epoch that intertwine here. The first traces we can track here go back to the Bronze Age, specifically around the year of the thousand six hundred BC. At that time, people belonging to the spleen-paying culture began to adjust the fort. Imagine the work, the effort they had to change the landscape to create a safe home.

Subsequently, between the year 1,000 and 80 BC, members of the Lužice culture settled here. This place became an important centre, a meeting place and a residence that required increasingly sophisticated protection. And if we continue in time, we will come across a Hallatian era where the castle was used very actively. This era has brought about more changes and other layers of history that archaeologists study today with such enthusiasm. Every next generation of people who came here left their own trail, their own form of this fortification and their way of life.

Now pay attention to what you should be watching when looking at the structure of the castle itself. Even if you don't see tall stone walls today or monumental gates that you might expect at the medieval castle, the architecture of this place was equally impressive at the time. The main element that defined this castle was the fortification system. Imagine an arc-led line that went all three hundred and eighty meters. This length of the wall, although mostly archaeological remains in the field today, was at that time an incredible engineering performance. The fort was not built on a one-off basis, but it passed through two major building stages. This means that people have constantly worked, repaired, expanded and modified their fortifications to meet growing needs and new threats.

Now, when you look at the surrounding slopes, try to imagine the line of the wall that was swirling in the shape of the terrain and creating an impenetrable arch. This architecture was directly linked to the geometry of the earth. It wasn't just a building, it was part of a landscape that was designed to use every meter of elevation and every slope to defend the population.

Even though we don't know the names of the old construction workers who dug moats here thousands of years ago and built trenches, we know the names of the people that we know about this place today. The first fundamental archaeological research here was carried out by Rudolf Turk in the year one thousand nine hundred thirty-six. He was the one who started uncovering the first secrets hidden in the ground. Later, in the year one thousand nine hundred fifty-four, he continued this task of Evžen Plesl. These men, thanks to their patience and expertise, have turned this place from ordinary terrain into a protected cultural monument that you can now admire.

The interesting thing that may interest you is the constant transformation. The castle in Chobotech is not a static place, it is a living record of human effort. It's fascinating how different cultures collide on one small surface, how technology changes and people's needs change. It's a place where nature connects with human will and where every layer of earth can hide a new discovery. This strategic position, this combination of natural protection of sharp and human engineering, has made it one of the most important points in the region.
