kostel Nalezení a Povýšení svatého Kříže Church
Church Finding and Ascension The cross is a single boat, originally baroque parish sanctuary in the village Moravec in the district of Žďár nad Sázavou in the Vysočina Region. It was created by reconstruction of the chateau chapel from 1628 and later underwent classical modifications. This building is protected as a cultural monument of the Czech Republic within the chateau area and contains a collection of exotic plants and trees.
This church forms an integral part of the original chateau in Moravec. The basis for a later reconstruction was an earlier chapel built in 1628 in the period of reCatholisation after the Thirty Years War, which initially fell under the Parish of the Pages. In 1747, the Chapel Chaplain was established and the parish itself was established in 1784. Ten years later, in 1794, the chapel was extended by a church boat with bark and a side altar.
During its existence, the building underwent a significant development from the original chapel to the Baroque stages to the classical form. On 17 April 1825 the church and the chateau were hit by a devastating fire. Subsequently, the building was reconstructed and rebuilt into a classical style, which corresponded to the European trend of returning to purity of lines and ancient patterns. Another reconstruction took place between 1882 and 1889 and a new farm building was built in 1889. The church tower also underwent a significant change in 1900, when the original wooden bell tower was replaced by a new stone building. Later construction work took place after 1976 under the direction of architect Josef Valerian.
During modern history, the church lost almost all the bells as a result of props in 1943. Only one piece originating in 1881 remained on the scene. New bells were made in 1958 and in 1951 the interior was enriched with new organ.
Today, the church is part of a valuable area of the rural aristocratic estate, which was classicically adapted after 1825. This complex includes a multi-wing storey chateau building, an organically connected church, a chateau building and a large English park with a lime alley and a fenced wall. The whole complex is a valuable example of historical architecture connected with the chateau park and a collection of exotic plants and trees and is therefore worth visiting every interested person in the Czech cultural heritage.

The Church of the Invention of the Holy Cross in Moravec in the Vysočina region is also referred to as the Church of the Invention and Exaltation of the Holy Cross. It is the parish church of the Roman Catholic parish of Moravec and stands in the castle grounds, of which it is a part. Together with the castle, it is protected as a cultural monument. In the castle and church grounds there is also a collection of exotic plants and trees.
The church did not originate as an independent structure. Its foundation is a castle chapel built in sixteen twenty-eight. Initially it belonged under the parish of Strážek. In seventeen forty-seven a castle chaplain was appointed there, and in seventeen eighty-four the parish of Moravec was established. Ten years later, in seventeen ninety-four, the chapel was extended with a church nave with a choir and a side altar. Thus a single-nave Baroque building was created.
On April seventeenth, eighteen twenty-five, the church and castle burned down. During reconstruction, the church received a Classicist appearance, as did the castle. Further reconstruction took place between eighteen eighty-two and eighteen eighty-nine. In eighteen eighty-nine a new parish house was also built. In nineteen hundred the church acquired a new bell tower, which replaced the original wooden one.
In the twentieth century, changes concerned mainly the furnishings. In nineteen forty-three almost all the bells were confiscated and only the bell from eighteen eighty-one remained. The church received new bells only in nineteen fifty-eight. In nineteen fifty-one new organs were installed. After nineteen seventy-six the church underwent further reconstruction, which was led by Josef Valerián.
