The Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary in Pičín is a Roman Catholic filial church located at the heart of this village within Středočeský kraj. Initially constructed in the late Gothic style during the second half of the 13th century, it stands as a cultural monument recognized for its historical and architectural significance. The church underwent significant Baroque renovations and expansions in the mid-18th century, including an impressive Baroque cemetery gate from 1691 adorned with contemporary sculptures.

The earliest records mentioning the complex date back to 1298, with recognition as a parish church by 1352. Architectural elements reflect its late Gothic origins, characterized by a short nave and simple square presbytery. These features suggest an earlier dating, possibly aligning more closely with late Romanesque or transitional styles rather than early Gothic architecture.

By the mid-18th century, under Emperor Joseph II's reign, significant changes occurred when he dissolved many monasteries across his domains, leading to the eventual demolition of the associated monastery complex in Pičín. Architecturally, the church is distinguished by its late Gothic elements preserved in the walls of the presbytery and nave.

The Baroque renovations introduced a monumental cemetery gate from 1691, originally part of an entrance to a pilgrimage site dedicated to St. Anthony of Padua. This gate, along with its elaborate sculptures, was relocated to its current position at the church following the monastery's dissolution. Inside, the church houses unique early Gothic wall paintings depicting hell in exceptional detail, dating from before the mid-14th century.

The interior also features a late Gothic sculpture of the Virgin Mary from the 16th century, now preserved as a plaster cast due to its original being housed at the Prague Archdiocese. Throughout its history, the church has seen various changes and restorations. In the 19th century, it underwent pseudo-Gothic interior modifications, while in the late 20th century, further renovations led to the removal of original altars and a reconfiguration of the interior space.

The church's three surviving bells—Burian, Matka Boží (Mother of God), and Poledník—add to its historical charm. Additionally, organ pipes by Rejna and Černý were installed in 1897.
