Jezná first appeared as a village in the historical sources of the year 1272 on the Papal List, which confirms it as property of premonstras from the monastery in Chotosov. The local church, originally dedicated to St. Wenceslas, probably had its beginnings at this time. It is believed to have been accompanied by a feudal mansion - a fortress - and it was a small fortified temple. The parish was officially recorded here for the first time in 1352 in connection with the record of the vicar and the scabbard.

A major breakthrough came in 1600 when lightning struck the church and the temple burned down. It can be concluded from the preserved equipment that many valuable things were saved - especially sandstone baptisers from 1701 and three side altars from the first half of the 18th century dedicated to Saint Joseph, Saint Francis and Saint Jan Nepomuk. Two Renaissance tombstones from the 16th century and a Gothic relief with coats of arms of chivalry from Nečtin and Plešnice were preserved from the older period.

After the fire, the church was restored. Since 1694, it was managed by the priest Benedict Goetz, who introduced matrix books and probably initiated the construction of a new rectory, which stands here today. A new cemetery was set up in the southwest village.

The largest reconstruction took place between 1766 and 1773, when, according to the design by architect Ondřej Rohuš, a new Rococo temple dedicated to the Holy Trinity and St. Wenceslas was designed. In 1767, the old Gothic church was demolished, but its tower and ground-floor sacristy remained integrated into a new building.

It is a late Baroque building with a single boat, flat ceiling and portals on the west, north and south side. The floor plan resembles a cross: the north arm forms a tower with sacristy, the south arm a chapel of St. John Nepomuk. There's a hail of Rococo organs in the west. Under the tower in the sacristy is a tomb opened in 1907, which contains wooden coffins from the 18th century.

The interior decor is rich. The main altar in the presbytery is a classical column from the middle of the 19th century with a picture of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary. Two lateral Baroque altars from the early 18th century transferred from the old church represent the most valuable part of the mobility. Rococo pulpit is accessible from the sacristy. On the ceilings are frescoes from Pilsen painter Jan Herzog from 1854 - evangelists in the ship and scenes from the Life of the Lord.

The tower has a Gothic origin at its core; has been modified and made available by a new staircase during the reconstruction. On her east side preserved a stone Renaissance relief with coats of arms and nobles. Originally there were four bells, including a rare bell from 1604 with the representation of the Holy Trinity and St. Wenceslas; Some bells were lost over time.

The Church of the Holy Trinity is a Protector as a cultural monument and testifies to the long history of the JEJELY, from medieval feudalism to Baroque to modern times.
