The Church of the Holy Cross, sometimes also called the hospital church, stands in the center of Velké Meziříčí on U Bašty street, not far from where the Balinka river flows into the Oslavy. It is a subsidiary church of the Roman Catholic parish of Velké Meziříčí. It does not stand alone, but is part of the street buildings and adjoins the hospital building. Together with the entire hospital complex, it is protected as a cultural monument of the Czech Republic.
