The Church of Saints Peter and Paul in Unhošť is a prominent Roman Catholic parish church within the Prague Diocese. It stands out for its transformation from Gothic origins to Baroque grandeur. Located in Unhošť, Středočeský kraj, this architectural gem dates back to around 1400 when it was initially constructed in the Gothic style. The church's origins trace back to the early 15th century during a period marked by significant religious and political changes across Bohemia, then part of the Holy Roman Empire. Architecturally, the church is a single-nave structure with a polygonal chancel and an adjacent tower reaching 42.5 meters in height. The nave measures 16.6 meters in length and 9.75 meters in width, while the chancel extends to 7.2 meters by 4.2 meters. Baroque windows divide the space within the nave, complemented by two symmetrically placed portals on its southern and northern sides. These portals are framed with sandstone detailing, featuring a red eight-pointed cross with a six-petaled star at its base—a symbol of the Knights Hospitaller. The western facade is adorned with a Baroque three-part gable topped by a prejzy-covered cornice and flanked by finials.

The church's tower, constructed on a square plan across four levels, connects seamlessly to the chancel. Historically significant for its bells, which were confiscated during both world wars, it now houses six new bells crafted by Rudolf Manoušek. Access to the tower is via a northern spiral staircase. The ground floor features vaulted ceilings and serves as a sacristy, while the first and third floors boast stonemasonry windows. A weather vane crowns the onion-shaped roof, which is topped with a cross embellished by a Hospitaller star.

Inside, the church's interior reflects a more restrained Baroque style. The main altar boasts a black-and-gold baroque wooden structure, featuring an altarpiece painted in 1892 by Emanuel Dítě mladší, depicting Saints Peter and Paul. Additional artworks include a painting of Saint Matthew by the same artist, displayed on the northern wall above the sacristy entrance. Other notable interior elements are a Rococo pulpit from the mid-18th century, a stone baptismal font with a Nativity scene relief, and two confessionals. The walls are plastered with simple stucco decorations reminiscent of cornices near the ceiling.

The church also houses several historical artifacts, including four tombstones embedded in its floor, with the oldest dating back to 1521. A sanctuary from the 14th century features a coat of arms belonging to the lords of Braškov. Plans are underway to restore the interior to its original historical appearance, promising an even richer experience for future visitors.
