The Church of Saints Peter and Paul in Rancířov is a Roman Catholic parish church situated on the village's northeastern edge. This single-nave Gothic structure has a Romanesque core that was later modified during the Baroque period. The church stands within an enclosed cemetery area, surrounded by walls with two Baroque gates, and is recognized as a cultural monument in the Czech Republic. It houses an 18th-century Calvary and a memorial stone, adding to its historical significance.

The origins of the Church of Saints Peter and Paul date back to the mid-13th century, although alternative dates around the 1300s or circa 1400 are also mentioned in historical records. Initially constructed with a Romanesque core, it was Gothicized around 1400. Between 1305 and 1530, the church came under the patronage of the Premonstratensians from Geras in Austria before passing to Jihlava's jurisdiction.

Architecturally, the church has undergone several transformations. It was Gothicized around 1400, with significant changes including a new roof structure between 1442 and 1443, and a rebuilt choir in the 1440s. During this period, additions such as a sacristy on the northern edge and possibly a chapel of the Three Kings were made. The Baroque era brought further modifications, including a new bell tower and interior renovations by 1900.

Ownership and administration of the church saw dramatic changes over time. Initially under the patronage of the Premonstratensians from Geras, it later came under Jihlava's jurisdiction in 1530. In 1662, after significant damage, the church underwent repairs that included a change in dedication from Saint Wenceslas back to Saints Peter and Paul.

Key events in the church’s history include its construction period during the mid-13th century when Bohemia was part of the Holy Roman Empire, experiencing Gothic architectural development. By the 15th century, religious reform and political changes across Europe influenced local structures like this church. In 1662, it suffered significant damage but was repaired by 1670. Further modifications occurred between 1784 and 1790, including changes to the choir closure.

Today, the Church of Saints Peter and Paul remains a site of historical interest and cultural heritage. It underwent a complete dehumidification process in 2009, ensuring its preservation for future generations. A statue from one of the adjacent cemetery's tombstones was reconstructed and placed inside the church that same year.
