Krucifix (Kameničky) Crucifix

Welcome to the crucifix in village Kameničky, instead of this quiet and historically rich hiding place. In front of you is a sandstone baroque crucifix whose faces are carved with skills that remind us of a past full of faith and artistic expression. Located on a mild slope in front of the entrance of the Holy Trinity Church, this crucifix from 1779 is witnessed by many generations that have passed through this courtyard.

This crucifix was created by an unknown author in 1779 and belonged to the original group of statues located on Poděbrada Square in Hlinsk. This group, which included the statues of St. Florian and St. John Nepomuk, was moved to Kamenicek after the First World War. In 2000 this crucifix was officially registered as a cultural monument of the Czech Republic and in 2021 it underwent an overall restaurant to preserve its original appearance for future generations.
