On the western edge of Medlešice, the local part of Chrudimi, the castle is a characteristic example of rural Baroque architecture of central Bohemia. Since 1958, the building has been protected as a real-estate cultural monument of the Czech Republic and a modified castle park is preserved nearby.

The roots of the castle go deep into the Middle Ages. On the site of today's Baroque building was originally a fortress, which was first mentioned in 1415 as the seat of Zeman Buzek from Interlesic. In 1660 it underwent a Renaissance reconstruction, but it did not completely disappear - the northern and partly middle part of the masonry of the original fortress was preserved and built into the current building. The new Baroque castle with a characteristic Mansard roof was then created between 1728 and 1732 under Marie Theresa of Vernier, born Strak of Nedabylic. The architectural solution is attributed to the Chrudim builder of Donat T. Morazzi. After 1864 there were larger modifications, especially the interior. An interesting find is the Baroque painting from the 1930s of the 18th century, which managed to descobe in 2023 during the archaeological survey of the building.

The castle consists of a single-storey building in an unusual shape of a letter T with a seven-axis front facing, covered with a mansard roof with a skylight. The facade is characterised by pilasters. The windows on the first floor have four tables with champagne, above which are spread triangular and arched suprafenestry. The western facade turns to the park area, surrounded by a stone wall. Two rococo sandstone vases were preserved in the park area and two pine cones on the pedestal stand near the access road to the gate.

The 20th century has influenced the fates of the castle fundamentally. The last owner Jan Wiedersperg signed up for German nationality during World War II, and therefore his property was confiscated. Immediately after the war, the object was looted and then assigned to the municipality of Medlešice. There is a kindergarten, chapel and library in the castle today, with local firemen and members of the settlement committee meeting there. However, the building is in poor technical condition and needs extensive reconstruction, which would require funding in the order of tens of millions of crowns - resources which the city Chrudim currently does not have.
