The steel bridge over Synský rybník is part of the municipal park in Poličce on the Svitavsko. It is a riveted pedestrian bridge that spans the Bílý potok at the point where it flows into Synský rybník. It connects the historic city center with a First Republic era district above the Svobody embankment.

The bridge dates from 1901. It was built by the Prague Bridge Works, a branch of the First Bohemian-Moravian Machine Factory in Prague, and the construction work was carried out by the firm of architect Křička from Kolín. It stands on the line between the only original fort in the city fortifications and a Neo-Renaissance palace building of the teacher training institute and later grammar school. The building was completed in the same year as the bridge. Thus the bridge connected the city center with the future new district beyond the pond. It documents the development of bridge engineering at the turn of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, when extensive areas of city fortifications were being transformed into municipal parks.

Originally it served as a road bridge, today only pedestrians walk on it. In 2019 it became a cultural monument and is part of the city's protected zone. A year later it underwent extensive reconstruction. Corroded parts were replaced, joints were re-riveted and beams were secured statically. The asphalt surface was replaced with oak planks. The stone walls of the piers were also repaired and the entire bridge received a protective coating. The repair cost six and a half million crowns and the Ministry of Culture contributed one and a half million.

It is a steel lattice bridge with a bottom deck. It is approximately 20 meters long and 4.3 meters wide. The load-bearing structure of wrought steel consists of two riveted beams 1.7 meters high. They are divided into twelve lattice fields and rest on cast steel bearings. All joints of the structure are riveted. The railing made of bent strip steel is decorated in each field by a series of elongated ovals with circles in the center. Attached to the structure is a nameplate of the Prague Bridge Works with manufacturing number 1882 and the year 1901.

The bridge rests on riverbank piers made of rough stone, whose corners are reinforced by sandstone blocks. The parallel wings of the bridge are also made of rough stone with ledges made of stone slabs. The bridge is terminated by four stone rectangular pillars with block plinths and capitals in the shape of flat pyramids.
