Socha Knířovské madony is a classic monument from 1816, located in the historical centre of Vysoké Mýta in Ústí nad Orlicí district. This sculpture-stone element represents an important proof of artistic creation in Eastern Bohemia from the first quarter of the 19th century.

The work was created during the period when the transition from Baroque to classical style took place in Czech countries. Originally there was a statue by the road leading from the High Myth to the pilgrimage church of the Annunciation of the Virgin Mary in the Moustache.

With regard to style, the statue is classical, but it also contains elements of late Baroque. It stands on a prism plinth with a high heel decorated with a plant and money ornament. On the back of the pedestal is the inscription: "KE CTI FAMILY BOY / _ POSTAWENE OF THIS STATUE / FROM THE CTITEERS OF MARJANSKY / ON 10.RZYNA 1816." At the top of the pedestal is a globe carried by winged angel heads. There's a Madonna standing on the globe with a crown on her head, holding Jesus in his left hand. Around her legs is a snake with its head on the globe, and its sides are fluttering with long robes.

The statue was moved to its current location in the easternmost corner of Vanyorné Square. It stands in a small grassy area between the Renaissance bell tower and the Gothic church of St. Vavríce. The square of Otmar Vanyorný and its surroundings form the concentration of valuable monuments.

The floor for the statue was an altar painting from the moustache church. The display of the Virgin Mary is unusually rough and rustic compared to statues of similar type.

The monument is registered on the Central List of Cultural Monuments of the Czech Republic and belongs to the Municipal Monument Zone Vysoké Mýto, announced in 1990. The town square where the statue is located represented the Pardubice Region in the national competition for the title Memorial of the Year 2017.

Socha Knířovské madony is an important part of the historical core of the city. Her visit offers insight into sculpture work from a period of transition between two major styles.
