The Trubiska is located about 2.5 kilometres southeast of the municipality of Pozděchov in the district of Vsetín in the Zlín Region. It's a solitude in the forest that was created as a hunting lodge for nobles. For many years, she was part of the Visovice estate, which in 1815 was bought by the House of Stillfrieds from Ratenice.

The hunting lodge was built around the middle of the 19th century as a refuge for hunters during hunting in the later woods. The construction was intended to be used for the relaxation and entertainment of noble owners. The castle has chosen its location well - several ponds, especially Duck and Hubertek, are located nearby, which have been used as fishing areas and have later been converted into retention tanks.

But the fate of the trumpet broke after World War II. In 1945 the estate was confiscated on the basis of the Beneš Decrees and the castle became state property. The new owner, however, did not care for it, and the building was quickly decayed without maintenance. It was only in 1968 when the Myslivec Association Trubiska-Pozděchov took it over. The first steps were to repair the roof of the main building. Since then, in cooperation with the Municipal Office Pozděchov and a number of local companies, it has been gradually and consistently reconstructed.

Today, Trubiska represents the living centre of hunting activities. In addition to the castle itself there is a hunting lodge, a dance stage with a parquet and two old maple trees grow in the area. Not far from the buildings can be found a modified well in which a sulfur spring has been developed in the past - but it is now supposedly dry. Thanks to its location and hub, the site also serves as a destination for local tourists and pedestrian passages.

Trubiska is well connected to the surrounding network of marked routes. The area is led by a green tourist brand leading from Valašské Polánka to Pláština, the blue route connects Pozděchov with Lužna, and from Trubiska begins marking to Lachnov rocks. Whoever goes here will find here a piece of preserved mountain hunting tradition and quiet forests that retain their atmosphere from the past centuries.
