Villa Václav and Luisa Tesařová, located on Čechov Street in Hradec Kralove, is a representative example of the architecture of the 1920s. Built in 1928-1929 for Dr. Václav Tesar and his wife Luisa, this one-story building is known for its purist design with elements of expressionism by architect Bohumil Waigant. Its unique structure includes a white prism, a covered terrace and square windows, making it an important historical monument.

The foundation of the villa is closely linked to the architectural experimentation of the 1920s in Central Europe, when new styles such as expressionism and purism appeared. This period was characterized by the search for national identity in art and architecture. Originally applied for construction permission by the managing physician MUDr. Josef Vanický, but the project was eventually completed for the mayor of the department ORL MUDr. Václav Tesař, who bought the plot in February 1929 and continued construction without any changes to the project.

Architecturally, the villa is characterized by a purist structure with elements of expressionism. Its one-storey structure consists of a white prism, from which a covered terrace with columns and balcony grows in the main facade. The windows on the north side of the house are set into a square net of 4 × 4, framed by a distinctive shampoo. The villa also carries elements of ocean steamers, especially the flagpole on the roof, which wears the Czechoslovak standard and several naval signaling banners. In the basement there is a technical background and apartment for the janitor, the central area of the ground floor is a staircase hall lined with oak wood.

The ownership of the villa changed during the 20th century when the building was divided into several housing units and later reassembled by new owners in the 1980s. Although its function has changed over time, it has always served for residential purposes and, to date, it has survived in its original state.
